Oscar stats are plentiful but the one where 'Terms of Endearment' and 'Amadeus' won back to back Best Picture and Director awards (among many others) and are the last films to have two lead acting nominees with one of them winning, debunking the split vote myth, may be the coolest. After breaking down the times this happened in Oscar history (1:54), Sophia and Nick get emotional with 'Terms of Endearment' (10:16), asking if The Academy got it right choosing Shirley MacLaine over Debra Winger. Then onto 'Amadeus,' an electric opus showcasing F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce as master composers consumed by their craft (44:49).
