🗣 The topic for today is go-to dating spots. We still have been discouraged to go out to have fun actively since the outbreak of COVID-19 was serious. Having said that, we still came up with some ideas as we were chatting about dating spots. It’s funny how the subject shifted from dating spots to some random personal matters here and there.

👁👄👁人の印象って最初の7、8秒で決まるという本を目に通してから余計にプレッシャーに感じるようになったミナです。自己紹介って妙に緊張しない？私だけ？今日は自己紹介について日本語と英語の視点で話してみました。砕けた場と、お堅い場で変わるよねっていう話も。

Hi it’s Mina being more conscious about how to introduce myself properly after knowing this 8-second rule of impressions. Today we talked about how to introduce yourself both in an informal situation and a formal situation.

🇯🇵日本語だと苗字から自己紹介することが多いですが、砕けた場だと下の名前から自己紹介することも一般的になりましたね。In Japanese, we usually start with our family names to introduce ourselves, but in an informal situation, starting with your first name is becoming common too.

In 🇯🇵, I frequently use phrases like はじめまして。(Hajimemashite) and then, state my name here, よろしくお願いします。(Yoroshikuonegaishimasu) and Bob’s your uncle! (Everything will be alright!)

🧸今日はディズニーランドについて。人生で4回くらいしかTDR(東京ディズニーリゾート)へ行ったことないミナに対し、LAが地元のブロにとって、ディズニーランドに行くのは食料品へ買い出しに行く程度のノリだったらしい。羨ましい🔥

カリフォルニアのオリジナルディズニーとDisney California Adventure(カリフォルニアディズニーのエリア名)の話、東京ディズニーランド・シーとの違いなど。

お気に入りのアトラクション、逆に微妙…と思うアトラクション、レストランやフードの話、ファストパスとか予約システムって難しくない！？と主張するミナ vs 常識と吐き捨てるブロ。

基本的にミナは浅い知識で思い出だけを頼りに語っていますのでテキトーなこと言ってます。

🧸🗣 The topic for today is Disneyland. Mina has been to Tokyo Disney Resort about four times so far, thinking of it as quite a trip especially because she was born and raised in Kansai, so she had to go all the way to Tokyo to have fun at TDR. (TDR is geographically located in Chiba prefecture.) On the other hand for Brody, Disneyland is more accessible and nostalgic. He had been to Disneyland multiple times when he was living in LA. We'll talk about some memories of the Disneyland parks and some of our favorite aspects of each, including some differences between Japan and America! We'll also discuss some of our favorite things about the park as well as some recommendations!

Maybe this isn’t the smartest way to say what you want, but still it’s simple and plain!

💭歳を重ねれば重ねるほど交友関係が狭まっていくと考えるミナ。人間断捨離が嫌でも必要になってきてしまう。それに対して、いくつになっても友だちはできると考えるBrody。

同級生や幼馴染でも、環境や価値観の変化などで徐々に疎遠になっていく…。

そんな経験は誰にでもあるはず🧐

出会いがあれば別れもある。コロナ禍という未曾有な卒業シーズンの今、人との距離に悩む。

🗣Do you think friendships will never end? There’s no right answer for it. Sometimes you outgrow a friendship as the environment changes, but people come and go through your life that’s pretty common. Mina believes that the more she gets older, the more she feels like making friends gets difficult, meanwhile Brody says aging has nothing to do with making new friends. He also brought up a study called "Dunbar’s number" done by Robin Ian MacDonald Dunbar.

🌸第2回目のエピソードでは、エクササイズについておしゃべり。お家時間が増えがちなご時世ですが、その中で運動をどのように生活に取り入れるか。ジム派？自己流？お家で？

前半はお互いの運動習慣について。🏃🏼‍♀️🏃‍♂️💨

後半は健康と運動の関係性、ダイエット、ExerciseとWorkoutの違い。

ジムなどでたまに見かける自撮りして帰って行く人なんなん問題。🤔

運動する時、周りに人が居ると恥ずかしくない？の問題など。

Our time at home has increased recently, But how are people staying healthy? The gym? Training alone? At home?

The first half it's about our own exercise schedules.

Secondly, we'll talk about the connection between exercise, health, diet, and the difference between exercise and workouts. The problem of people who go to gym just to take selfies, if you get embarrassed exercising in front of others, and etc.

🌈後半はBrodyとMinaがそれぞれよく行くコンビニやお気に入りの商品について。またどんな人が利用するのか、どういう時に行くのか、エコバッグ、セルフレジなどについて。

On our very first episode, we talk about the convenience stores in Japan. "Conbini" is a short term for a convenience store which is commonly used by Japanese. Firstly, we discuss the most popular "conbinis" in Japan and what are the differences in convenience stores between the US and Japan. Subsequently, what type of people tend to go, when to go and our favorites and recommended items will be revealed.

✅ Also, regarding the odd marketing system attached to a cash register where Mina had to type in based on customers' genders and ages, these have been gradually removed since 2018.
