Our Daily Walk with Jesus

A guided Scripture devotional for rest, spoken as evening arrives, when the week has found its rhythm. Session 001 from Jesus 24/7 — resting in the words of Jesus: His peace, His shepherding, His living water, and His light.

This is a long-form spoken devotional — a calm voice leads you through the words of Christ for roughly four hours while you rest or fall asleep. You do not need to stay awake for them. Let His words settle over you.

Chapters:
00:00 — Opening: come to Me, and I will give you rest
03:00 — Scripture: the words of Jesus
08:00 — His peace: peace I leave with you
16:00 — His shepherding: the Good Shepherd knows your name
24:00 — His living water: come and drink
32:00 — His light: the darkness has not won
(The devotionals then continue in gentle cycles through the night)
3:50:00 — Closing: abide in Him

If you wake in the night, the words of Jesus will still be here. Come to Me, all you who are weary, and I will give you rest.

🌿What do you do when the prayer is still unanswered and the road is still long? A ten-minute journey to the middle of the story, where most of life is actually lived and where grace is quietly at work.

If you are tired of waiting, if you have been faithful for a long time and have nothing to show for it, this Grace Moment is for you. Hannah Liu reads from the long middle of Scripture — Abraham, Joseph, David, the Hebrew exiles, the disciples in the boat — and points to the Lord who meets you in the waiting. Hosted by Hannah Liu as part of the Grace Moments series on Jesus 24/7

🌱 Chapters: 0:00 — The Middle of the Story
1:12 — The Heroes Stuck in the Middle
2:48 — The Storm and the Sleeping Lord
4:30 — The Waiting Is Not Wasted
6:02 — Running to Meet You
7:18 — Renewed Strength, Not Rescue
8:18 — The Lord Walks on the Water

💛 Listening: Find a quiet room. Sit comfortably. Close your eyes if it feels safe. Let Hannah's voice carry you through ten unhurried minutes for the waiting. Volume low, phone away, the Lord is not finished yet.

📖 Scripture: Isaiah 40:31, Psalm 27:14, Mark 6:45-52, Romans 8:26.

✨ Host: The middle is not the end. The middle is not the failure. The waiting is not a punishment, but a slow, gentle work that prepares you for the arrival and gives you strength for the next step. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are not behind.

🙏 Blessing: May you find grace for the in-between. May you discover that the waiting is not empty, but full. May you know, this hour and every hour, that the Lord who walks on the water is the Lord who walks beside you. Stay here. Stay a little longer. Amen.

A king returns at the end of the age, gathers every nation before him, and separates the people as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. The verdict is not doctrine, not belief, not a creed memorized on Sunday. The verdict is what was done to a hungry, thirsty, naked, sick, imprisoned body. The sheep did not know they were serving the king. The goats did not know they were walking past him.

In this twenty-minute reflection, Micah Thompson walks slowly through Matthew 25:31-46 and asks the question the parable asks every listener: when was the last time you noticed a hungry person and fed them, and what does it mean that the noticing is the whole thing.

The parable refuses the split between sacred and neighbor. The holy is found, every time, in the body of the person who is in need. The grand gesture is not asked for. The next ordinary thing is asked for, done without calculation, because the person in front of you was hungry, and you had bread.

Chapters:
0:00 — The King Returns at the End of the Age
2:14 — The Surprise on Both Sides
4:32 — What the Sheep Did Without Knowing
7:48 — What the Goats Walked Past
10:15 — The Tragedy of Not-Noticing
12:50 — The Holy Has Gone Underground
15:30 — The Smallness Is the Point
17:45 — Pay Attention to What You See

A Bible-centered meditation on mercy, attention, and the places where the holy waits to be noticed. Part of the Parables Extended 20-minute series on Jesus 24/7 — voice-led by Micah Thompson.

Where Mercy Meets the Morning — a five-minute devotional reflection on the promise that the mercies of God are new every morning.

Some mornings arrive heavy. The diagnosis has not changed. The marriage is still hard. The bills are still due. And we read Jeremiah's promise that the mercies of the Lord are new every morning, and we wonder if the verse has expired. This reflection gently reframes what the prophet meant. The mercies are not new because the troubles are different. They are new because they are sufficient. Yesterday's portion carried you through yesterday. Today's portion is enough for today. You are not being asked to trust God for the whole year at eight in the morning. You are being asked to trust Him for the next hour.

Settle in. Breathe slowly. Let these words meet you where you are. The Lord who calmed the sea is the same Lord who meets you in this quiet moment. His mercy is meeting your morning right now. Rest in that. It is enough.

Chapters:
0:00 — Where Mercy Meets the Morning
0:24 — The Steadfast Love of the Lord
0:58 — What Gets Refreshed Each Day
1:18 — What Kind of New
1:54 — Sufficient for Today
2:22 — Beside the Still Waters
3:02 — The Lord Who Invented Rest

The lamp was never meant to be hidden. In this contemplative twenty-minute reflection, Micah Thompson traces Jesus's short parable of the lamp and the bushel basket through Mark 4:21-25, and lets the small story open into a larger one about the light we have been given, the measure in which we use it, and the rooms in which we finally set it down.

The parable is barely a sentence long. Is a lamp brought in to be put under a bushel basket, or under a bed, and not on a lampstand? Jesus says it twice, because the listener is likely to argue with it. There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed. The measure you give is the measure you get. To those who have, more will be given. The parable is small, and once it gets into a person, it does not come out.

🌙 A 10-minute pastoral word for the night when sleep will not come and your shoulders will not drop. Hannah Liu reads a quiet invitation to lay down what you have been carrying, and to let the Lord be your rest tonight.

There is a tired that sleep cannot reach. Your mind keeps its vigil, your shoulders stay high, and underneath it all you wonder if God sees you in this. He sees you. He has always seen you. Tonight's reading traces the invitation of Matthew 11, the difference between striving and faith, and the gentle permission to stop. This is rest as worship, not as weakness — a soul-surrender before the body can settle.
