Our Daily Walk with Jesus

🙏 The world offers a peace that rises and falls with your circumstances. When the bills are paid, you feel it. When the report comes back clear, you feel it. When the night is long and the door stays closed, you do not. That kind of peace is a beautiful guest, but it does not stay.

In John 14:27, Jesus offers a different kind of peace, one anchored to His character, not your news. Samuel Reeves reflects on Philippians 4:6-7, Isaiah 26:3, and the way Paul could write about grace and peace from a Roman prison. The peace of God is not the absence of pressure. It is the presence of Someone greater than the pressure. You can be shaking inside and resting inside at the same time. That is not contradiction. That is the gospel.

Today's grace is faith. Faith is not certainty. It is the quiet trust that holds you when you cannot see the road ahead.

Faith is not certainty. Faith is trust. Faith is choosing to believe that the one who holds the stars also holds you, even when the path bends into shadow and the questions outnumber the answers. In this minute of stillness, Grace Kim reads from Hebrews eleven and Mark nine, and walks through the small, honest prayers of a father who said, I do believe. Help my unbelief. That is real faith. The kind that admits it is shaking and still reaches out anyway.

🌱 You are not late. You are not disqualified. The God who began the work is faithful to finish it — and He is not waiting for the polished version of you. A ten-minute prayer for anyone starting again.

There is a quiet shame that gathers around the idea of starting over. As if the calendar were a slow accusation. As if the years behind us were evidence against us. But the God of scripture is not a God who is impressed by elapsed time. He is impressed by the willingness to return. And the willingness to return is a kind of courage the world does not always name.

Hosted by Hannah Liu as part of the Grace Moments series on Jesus twenty-four seven. A contemplative ten minutes for anyone who is sitting at the beginning of something, who is tired of waiting for permission to begin, who needs to hear that the smallest real beginning is more pleasing to God than the grandest performed continuation.

⏱️ CHAPTERS
00:00 Opening Words
01:15 The Rhythm of Beginning Again
02:30 The Shame of Fresh Starts
04:00 The God Who Is Not in a Hurry
05:30 Peter, the Patron Saint of Return
07:00 Do Not Despise the Day of Small Things
08:15 The First Step Is Enough
09:00 Soft Landing

A gentle reflection for the new beginning, the postponed dream, the first honest step. Best played with headphones in a still room, the volume turned down low, and the permission to begin again without apology. Grace, fresh starts, second chances, Christian meditation, faith for the reluctant beginner.

This episode was created with AI assistance. The writing was shaped around the Bible's quiet insistence that beginning again is the oldest sound in scripture, narrated by Hannah Liu in a calm and unhurried voice for listeners who are finally ready to take the first step.

There is a field. Beneath the soil of that field, a man finds a treasure. And in his joy, he sells everything he has to buy that field. The Parable of the Hidden Treasure is one of the shortest stories Jesus ever told — just one verse in Matthew chapter thirteen — but it compresses something profound about the kingdom of heaven into a handful of words.

In this extended retelling, Micah Thompson walks you through every layer of meaning in this parable. Why would the kingdom be hidden in an ordinary field rather than displayed on a mountaintop? Why does the man cover the treasure back up before he goes to sell his possessions? And why does the text say he does this in his joy, not with reluctance? This is a story about recognition, about sacrifice, and about the upside-down arithmetic of grace — where the moment you find what truly matters, everything you previously owned becomes easy to release.

00:00 A Man Finds Something in a Field
03:00 Why the Kingdom Is Hidden
06:30 The Treasure That Changes Everything
10:00 Covering It Up: Wisdom in the Waiting
13:30 In His Joy: The Heart of Discipleship
17:00 Selling All That He Has
20:30 Buying the Field, Owning the Treasure
23:00 Where Are You Still Digging?
24:00 Closing Prayer

For anyone who feels their faith is too small, their efforts too ordinary, or their life too unremarkable to contain something precious. The treasure is closer than you think — you may already be standing above it. Based on Matthew 13:44 from the Holy Bible.

🌿 Where Heaven Meets the Ordinary. Most weeks do not feel like mountaintops. They feel like dishes, emails, the same road, the same coffee, the same bed at the same time. And in the middle of that, it is easy to wonder if any of it registers with heaven. It does. Samuel Reeves opens this five minute Word Burst devotional with a quiet reminder that the Bible is mostly made of ordinary people in ordinary rooms, meeting an unordinary God in the middle of it. Moses was tending sheep. Ruth was gathering grain. The disciples were mending nets. None of them were waiting for a special moment. They were simply faithful in the one they had.

We walk through Colossians three twenty three and the small word whatever, talk about why heaven keeps a careful record of cups of water and whispered prayers over sleeping children, and end with a brief prayer for the listener who feels invisible today. If your week has felt ordinary, this episode is for you.

⏱️ CHAPTERS
00:00 Welcome and the ache for something more
00:32 Ordinary people in an unordinary God story
01:20 Whatever you do, working for the Lord
02:11 Heaven's careful record of the small things
03:02 Holy ground in the repetitive middle
04:05 A prayer for faithfulness today

For Christian listeners seeking daily faith encouragement, devotional content, and short Bible reflections for busy weeks, this Word Burst episode from Jesus 24/7 is a quiet reset for the ordinary day you are actually living.

🌿 You are not invisible. Genesis 16:13 has a name for the God who knows where you are and what you are carrying. This 5-minute Word Burst devotional from Samuel Reeves is for the person who has been doing their best without anyone asking how they are.

In this episode, Samuel Reeves walks through the story of Hagar, the servant who was pushed into the wilderness and met the God who sees. Drawing from Genesis chapter sixteen, verses seven through thirteen, this reflection names the kind of loneliness that exists inside a full room, the quiet grief that no one has asked about, and the way God sees you even when you are out of view. The El Roi, the God who sees, is not waiting for you to clean up or perform. He is already present. He already knows your name.

⏱️ CHAPTERS
00:00 A name for the One who sees
00:31 The loneliness inside a full room
01:19 Hagar and the well beside her path
02:09 El Roi sees you right now
02:59 What invisibility is not
04:01 A prayer for the seen life

A modern retelling of one of Jesus's parables, set in present-day Philippines. A man in Mandaluyong receives a brown envelope that will take him to Singapore for a year, and must sell everything he has kept.

Reimagined as if it happened this week — in Bambang Street, in a co-working space in Quezon City, in the calamansi farms of Laguna, in a small apartment in Mandaluyong. No sermon. No theology. Just the story, the way it might actually unfold, with the kind of small details the original parables always carried: a folded bill, a tin can, a flashlight, an old envelope.

Chapters
00:00 — The brown envelope on the desk
02:30 — The mother who died in 2003
06:00 — Three applications to medical school
09:30 — The small NGO, the small office
13:00 — The envelope is the pearl of great price
15:30 — Three in the morning, a phone call to Tatay
18:00 — Dr. Reyes and the resignation letters
20:30 — Selling the brown envelope in Quiapo
22:30 — The kitchen table in Antipolo

The parable is the oldest teaching tool we have. It works because the people in it are not saints. They are confused, and stubborn, and they keep looking for the thing they have lost, and they do not always find it, and when they do find it, the finding is not the end of the story. The finding is the beginning of the next one.

When you are exhausted - physically, emotionally, spiritually - where do you turn? The prophet Isaiah offers a promise that has sustained weary people for thousands of years: They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles.

Waiting on God is not passive. It is an active posture of trust that produces supernatural strength. In this extended meditation, we slowly read through Isaiah 40:31, exploring what it means to wait on the Lord, to exchange our weakness for His power, and to soar on wings like eagles when our own wings have grown tired.

00:00 Welcome and Opening Prayer
01:30 The Context - A People Weary and Ready to Give Up
03:30 They Who Wait for the Lord
05:30 Shall Renew Their Strength

10:00 Running and Not Growing Weary
12:00 Walking and Not Fainting
13:30 The Progression - From Spectacular to Ordinary
15:00 What Are You Waiting For?
16:00 Closing Prayer

Whether you are soaring, running, or simply putting one foot in front of the other, this promise is for you. God will sustain you in every pace of life.

📖 A quick burst of truth from Jeremiah 29:11 to start your day with purpose and clarity.

Your worst day is not your last day. Jeremiah 29:11 declares that God has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. This five-minute devotional explores why devastation is not the end of your story and how God works even in the waiting.

Samuel Reeves walks through the context of Jeremiah's letter to the exiles in Babylon, why God gave a promise during captivity, and how the 70-year timeline teaches patience and trust. You will hear why your current chapter is not the final chapter, and why the God who brought Israel out of exile will bring you out of yours.
