Children with past life memories. This week I am talking to Dr Jim Tucker about his book 'Before: Children's Memories of Previous Lives'.

BioJIM B. TUCKER, M.D. is Bonner-Lowry Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia. He is Director of the UVA Division of Perceptual Studies, where he is continuing the work of Dr. Ian Stevenson with children who report memories of previous lives. A board-certified child psychiatrist, Dr. Tucker worked with Dr. Stevenson for several years before taking over the research upon Dr. Stevenson’s retirement in 2002.

Dr. Tucker was born and raised in North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA degree in psychology in 1982, followed by a Medical Degree four years later. He then received training in general psychiatry and child psychiatry at the University of Virginia. After he completed his training, he stayed in Charlottesville and began a successful private practice in psychiatry.

Dr. Tucker, who was raised Southern Baptist, had never seriously considered the possibility of past lives before reading one of Dr. Stevenson’s book. After learning about the work, he became intrigued both by the children’s reports of past-life memories and by the prospect of studying them using an objective, scientific approach. He contacted the Division and in 1999 began working there half-time. A year later, he gave up his private practice completely to work at the university. He has now published two books and numerous papers in scientific journals. He has spoken before both scientific and general audiences and has made a number of television appearances, including Good Morning America, Larry King Live, and CBS Sunday Morning.

Having completed various studies at Cauldon College of Further Ed. in 1984, Tracie re-located to London a year later to study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama as a concert pianist, and to teach her instrument in a number of schools. Her interest in UFOs first began there, when she witnessed a UFO, an event that would later change her life!

In 1989, Tracie moved back to her hometown of Staffordshire to teach her instrument to numerous students, and became Project Manager of a popular music tuition agency. Her second daylight sighting of an unknown flying object occurred in May of 1996. A profound sighting of a black, boomerang object that changed shape was observed by other witnesses, and made a second appearance later that day over her house! The Television channel “BBC Digital” became aware of her sighting, and during the making of their TV documentary “Over the Moon”, Tracie told her story and re-enacted her sighting.

It was in June of 1996, that she hosted her first UFO conference, which became a major success. Radio appearances followed, as well as articles in local newspapers and invitations to speak on the subject at various organizations. A second conference followed in 1998.Research into the UFO phenomena has been an on-going process since her first sighting in 1987, and she has investigated some highly strange UFO activity. Personal sightings of UFOs continue to date.

Tracie was invited as MC, and a guest speaker at the 2005 annual MUFON symposium in Denver.She was also Mistress of Ceremonies and speaker at the first women’s UFO Symposium in Glen Rose, Texas 2012.

This week I am talking to Suzy Hansen about her book 'The Dual Soul Connection: The Alien Agenda for Human Advancement'.

Spirits, Ghosts, And Troublesome Entities. This week I am talking to Leanne Halyburton about her new book 'Spirits, Ghosts, And Troublesome Entities'.

Weird happenings in the kitchen and the rooms above it; an inexplicably swinging light shade; the sound of doors opening and closing, and footsteps on the stairs… when no one else was home. Intuitive consultant Leanne Halyburton’s old house was awash with paranormal activity - including a possible portal in the crumbling bathroom wall! And yet, it wasn’t an unhappy home. However, looking back, she recognises that life was becoming more and more difficult - and that it improved dramatically when the family moved into a new property.

But, it got her really thinking about all things paranormal. Throughout the years, many customers had told her that they were experiencing hauntings or inexplicable sightings - and she came to understand that things are not always exactly as they appear. Of course, none of those people were being untruthful; it’s just that, sometimes, there are other possible explanations.
