  • “There’s a Reason You Are Hurting” - #103

Today I share the frustrating story of my search for answers with my hurting hip and aching back.

I have been managing pain for the past year and a half and haven’t had much luck; until now.

Moving is hard. Change is hard - and getting myself to find a new chiropractor was no easy task. But pain finds a way to push us out of our comfort zones in search of relief.

I hope my story reminds you to keep advocating for yourself until you find the answers. You are not crazy. You are in pain - and you deserve to be invested in and cared for. Inside and out.

    I love ya.

It’s a read that is pretty certain to change your life.

        • “I don’t really know how to “play” A fun,  coaching session with Jade Miller! #99

Today Jade Miller, an experienced coach herself, joins me in a Zoom conversation about an area in which she has been wanting more clarity and freedom.

You guys get a front-row seat into what a coaching session with me, (Abigail Hobbs), might be like as we dive into the meaning of “play” and our beliefs about it.

I absolutely enjoyed this conversation and Jade’s willingness to ask questions, and be vulnerable and open to new ways to think about “play”.

If you find it hard to be “playful” or you compare yourself and feel like you probably don’t know how to play, this episode is for you!!

Jade Miller is a delightful human who is doing wonderful things! She runs her own successful coaching business, “Peer Support For Multiples” on top of also being a published author of several books and a mother of three children.

Her work is extremely valuable and I am deeply grateful for what she bravely brings to this world.

Please check out her website below, follow her on social media - and share this episode with a friend! Let’s help each other get connected to these important resources!

During this recording, I learned things about my partners that I had never quite understood. 🙂 I love learning more about the people I love and I think you too will enjoy this interview.

          We touch on these questions:

          • What helps you stay grounded?

          • What is your goal for this year?

          • What has been the hardest adjustment?

          • How has letting go of religion changed your life?

Today I take you on a little tour of our new place!

            You will get to see:

            • The corral that hosts this weekly podcast

            • My lovely horses grazing nearby

            • Our chickens peacefully snuggled in the shade

            • The beautiful back acreage ready to be mowed

            • The gross, muddy mess still in need of being reworked

            • Our big barn currently being demolished by my favorite crew, Nate, Tanaya, and Avriella ;)

            • “We Bought A Swamp” - #96
First podcast at our new place but let me warn you, it’s not all butterflies and rainbows.
              Change is hard
              New is hard
New change is hard and scary
But we are here and we are taking it one step at a time. Sometimes that’s the only way to keep your head above water.
The messy middle sometimes looks like a swamp. And honestly, feels like a swamp.
We got this. Together, we will remind each other that it won’t always feel this way. Xoxo.

            • “Moving On” song #95

Today is the last episode I recorded at our farm LOL! Haven.

It’s a quick podcast today since I still have loads of packing

              to do. 🙃

I wrote this song back in January.

I could feel it in my body.

              I knew it was time.

Today I share my song as a way of saying goodbye to this

season and welcoming our next adventure.

              Never get stuck.

              Listen to your gut.

              Stay wild!

            • I Have No Fucking Clue What I'm Doing - #94

Are you smack dab in the middle of the stage where your kids are growing up and starting to take wing?

If so, this episode may be for you. I don't have the answers but I do understand the struggle.

Raising kids is no walk in the park. It's more like climbing Mt. Everest, except you have absolutely no training.

It can be so hard on our hearts.

Today I share the messy middle.

My current struggles with it all.

              The unrelenting mom guilt.

How do I balance empowering with no expectations?

I don't know - but damn I love my kids.

I hope you find some comfort in knowing that it's all just a wild experiment we take when we become parents and there is no one "right" way to do it.
