Today I find comfort in podcasting with my favorite 3 C’s of life:
Coffee
Corral
Campfire
This episode I discuss a recent bad luck situation that triggered my trauma and threw me into a bit of a tail spin. But instead of shaming myself and shoving downt the uncomfortable feelings, I tried something different.
I tried feeling them.
And I learned something valuable.
Maybe rushing to find the “good” in a situation, or be grateful, or reframe it, or refocus, or make meaning of the shit, maybe we should wait…and give our body some space to work through the feelings.
I hope this episode gives you permission to be angry - to be disappointed - to be pissed - to be frustrated - to be hurt.
Remember, “We cannot heal what we cannot feel.”
I will be hopefully be on my motorcycle freedom trip next week so feel free to browse and listen to past episodes of Coffee in the Corral.
And please share with another human if this episode was helpful to you!
Hello my lovelies! This week I share about my struggle with living in constant stress due to my unrealistic To-Do List that only grows longer each day.
I discuss:
How my mum flowers are teaching me to pay attention to where my energy is going
The unrelenting To-Do List that becomes a tsunami
A heartbreaking lesson I learned from a little horse rider in tears
Why we are all like that little girl
My upcoming motorcycle adventure and why I’m excited but terrified
Next week I will be gone so there will not be an episode coming out. Please feel free to circle back to a favorite of yours or try out some of my favorite podcasts listed below!
“We Can Do Hard Things” -Glennon Doyle (I always learn a lot from this podcast. Sometimes it’s hard stuff and sometimes it has me laughing out loud!)
“The Gathering Room” - Martha Beck (So helpful in rewiring my brain. I love all her stuff!)
“Getting Curious” - Jonathan Van Ness (Definitely challenges me to learn new things, get out of my comfort zone, and value true authenticity!)
“Handsome” - Tig Nataro, Fortune Feimster, Mae Martin (I love this one for light entertainment although sometimes they go deep and I always love that.)
Or you can just search for any interviews with Britt Frank or Richard Schwartz. These two are amazing experts in their field and you cannot help but learn some cool shit from them!
Here is the Martha Beck interview that I mentioned at the end of my podcast:

A challenging and enlightening conversation with Keisha Messina
This week I was incredibly honored to have Keisha Messina come on my podcast and share how the past few years have opened her eyes to the importance of living life in full authenticity.
She bravely shares the very personal story of her partner transitioning to female and how that challenged Keisha to grow. I am so grateful for Keisha’s willingness to share what she has learned so that the rest of us can become more educated and learn how to be true allies.
Keisha talks about:
-the struggles trans people experience
-the importance of understanding and supporting the trans community
-her passion and how she got to work for the S.T.A.R.T. nonprofit
-why we need to live authentically
-the need for spouses of transitioning partners to also have support
-the two big events that S.T.A.R.T. puts on every year
-why Keisha will NOT be voting for Trump
-how just going and having those conversations can enlighten us
I loved this conversation so much. I learned a shit ton. I think you will too.
Please go check out S.T.A.R.T., (Springfield Transgender and Ally Resources) and find out how you can learn more and support this important organization.

Today it’s just me sitting with my flowers, processing some hard, but important realizations.
Last week I took a walk in my back field and learned valuable things that are helping me move forward. Although this was a vulnerable and emotional episode for me, Zelle brought comedic relief by coming over at one point to share my coffee, scratching her butt on the post behind me, and then blowing her nose on the back of my head. Gotta love that horse. ;)
Here are a few things I shared:
A podcast fan favorite and beloved friend of mine, Taylor Brown, is back today to answer some hard questions about religion. Taylor is such a kind, compassionate soul with a very different understanding of God than I have ever heard. Though I do not subscribe to Christianity, I do want to remain open-minded and continue to surround myself with humans who challenge me and help me not become judgemental towards others who believe differently.
*If religion has traumatized you this episode may trigger you. Still, I encourage you to be curious; this episode may help you realize that not all Christians are hateful. Taylor shows us a different way to think about it all, and he is a beautiful example of someone who loves God and also truly loves people. He isn’t interested in trying to change people or convince them to believe what he believes.
During this episode, we discuss:
Why does living inside boxes feel safe
Is it possible for a world to exist where there is a space for everyone to find what feels right to them instead of all the judging and thinking there is a right and wrong?
Taylor talks about his thoughts on these three concepts:
Being made in the image of God
Love the sin - not the sinner
Hell
Why the word acceptance feels patronizing
The story of how religion scared my mom into being responsible for other’s salvation
Why it’s important to Taylor to continue to speak up about controversial, religious topics on social media
Jesus never called anyone broken
How do we disagree with others without ending the relationship?
The most important thing Taylor wants his kids to learn from
I believe that valuing diversity is the key component to creating a better world. I purposefully seek out others with different experiences so that I don’t become narrow-minded. This conversation, though a bit triggering at times, also brought me some much-needed healing.
For me, Taylor is a beacon of hope. I hope this episode refreshes and reminds you that there are still some amazing humans in this world.

- A conversation with my beloved partner Jennifer Gael about how we are learning to care for ourselves -
This episode my partner and I discuss:
My recent triathlon experience and the strange but awesome conversation I had with my body
How I am reframing the way I exercise
Jennifer’s fun idea for how we should pick the winners of a race ;)
The complicated relationship Jennifer has with anxiety and how she is finding the balance of allowing herself to feel but not become consumed with her feelings
Jennifer’s newly discovered tool to help ground herself
Why it is so important to not compare ourselves
I love this conversation so much - not just because it is with one of my favorite people, but because this subject is so important and we all need support in the area of self-care.
I love having practical applications and ideas of how to better care for myself and if that’s you too, then this episode is definitely for you.
I am incredibly honored to bring to you a deeply important and meaningful conversation with Michelle Cramer, Founder & Executive Director of “On Angels’ Wings”, a nonprofit that offers ongoing support and grief recovery services for families with medically-fragile children or who lose a child at birth.
This conversation is something that needs to be heard all over the world. She shares some of her personal experiences in her beautiful, authentic style. Her honesty is refreshing and her heart is pure gold. You are going to fall in love with her.

In today’s podcast, I share a little about some of the things I have been wrestling to figure out in my own life.
With my girls returning to public school for their second year, I am left with some sadness and uncertainty about navigating this new season.
I discuss some things that Nate and I have been talking about as we continue to evolve in our relationship.
Here are some things I am asking myself:
What if I could reimagine every single area of my life?
What would I change if I allowed myself the freedom to think outside the box?
How can I leave guilt and fear behind and discover my truest self instead of returning to what is familiar?
Can I survive the discomfort long enough to find out what is beyond my comfort zone?
What do I believe just because it is what I have been the most exposed to?
I hope this episode encourages and inspires you to be curious about your own life. You deserve it!
If you enjoyed this podcast please share it with a friend!
