When Javier Herrera broke his knee playing rugby in Argentina, his doctor gave him two recovery options: ride a bike or ride a horse. That fateful choice led him to discover polo and eventually create PoloLine – transforming how the sport is covered, consumed, and connected across the globe.

Starting with nothing but determination, he and his business partner Sebastian Amaya began photographing matches in Palm Beach, selling VHS tapes of Argentine tournaments, and gradually building what would become polo's most trusted global news source.

The journey wasn't easy. Javier recounts sleeping at polo clubs in exchange for coverage, scanning physical photographs before digital cameras were affordable, and convincing skeptical players and patrons of the internet's value when most still received tournament draws by fax. Kylie Sheehan, the driving force behind the Flying Cow Polo Club in Wellington, Florida, founded the WOW Polo League to address the scarcity of women’s tournament polo in the area. She aims to provide a platform for both seasoned and new players through three well-organized, competitive medium-goal tournaments, bridging gaps and creating opportunities for more participation.

Haley Bryan, a key figure in the trio, collaborates with Sheehan to bring the WOW Polo League to fruition. Leveraging her expertise as a USPA tournament manager, Bryan ensures seamless event organization. Dedicated to fostering a supportive community for female polo players, she envisions WOW to inspire teams to participate in esteemed tournaments, offering valuable medium-goal experience to prepare members for premier women’s polo in the U.S. and beyond.

Maureen Brennan, a vital member of the trio, adds a unique perspective to the WOW Polo League. As a league spokesperson, Brennan emphasizes the historic significance of this season in Wellington, featuring a series of USPA women’s polo events at higher levels. Acting as a liaison, Brennan ensures the league remains player-centric, addressing the specific needs and aspirations of women in polo.

Together, Sheehan, Bryan, and Brennan form a powerhouse team dedicated to the success and growth of the WOW Polo League.
