In our upcoming episode, we're honored to host the brilliant and talented Shannon Stilson. Shannon serves as the Assistant Vice President of Marketing for USPA Global Licensing, and she's also at the helm of the newly established Global Polo Entertainment division, which acts as the marketing arm of the sport's governing body.

Shannon's journey with polo began in 2015 when she was handpicked to chart a new course for the business of polo in the United States. Her mission was to cultivate an authentic global connection to the sport for the official apparel brand, U.S. Polo Assn. Under Shannon's astute leadership, the USPA introduced Global Polo Entertainment, a groundbreaking initiative that serves as the home for innovative brand platforms, including the revolutionary three-part high-goal event series, The Gauntlet of Polo.

This transformative approach extended to reshaping the USPA's partnerships with media giants Eurosport and CBS Sports to support the Gauntlet's grand finale, The U.S. Open Polo Championship. Shannon played a pivotal role in overhauling these media partnerships, resulting in a substantial increase in live and live-to-tape coverage, an elevation in live streaming capabilities, and a digital promotion blitz, including the recent launch of the Global Polo Network.

Shannon's professional journey didn't commence with polo, however. Her roots are firmly planted in the world of golf, where she garnered experience working with esteemed organizations like the PGA Tour, PGA of America, both headquartered in Florida, and well-regarded golf event and marketing agencies. Outside The Boards™ is thrilled to announce the release of Season One of our newly minted podcast, presented in collaboration with Global Polo TV. Our second guest on this podcast journey is none other than Kareem Rosser—an extraordinary individual who hails from the most unexpected of backgrounds and has become an outstanding ambassador for the world of polo.

Kareem's remarkable journey began in West Philadelphia, a story akin to Cinderella's, where his humble roots in the "Work to Ride" program led him to the world of polo. Through unwavering determination, he overcame adversity, shattered barriers, and emerged as a contemporary polo icon.

Within the polo community, Kareem is already a widely recognized figure, boasting a decorated youth career with victories in the 2011 Interscholastic Championships and the 2015 Intercollegiate Championships. Today, as a Colorado State University graduate, he has traversed the globe, representing the sport, and serves as a global ambassador for the Work to Ride organization. Furthermore, he has graced the pages as a model for Ralph Lauren Polo and is set to release his memoir, "Crossing The Line," scheduled to hit shelves this February.

Kareem's story is one that weaves together elements of heartbreak and triumph. From an early age, he shouldered responsibilities beyond his years, guided by the mentorship of Lezlie Hiner's "Work To Ride" program. It was through this program that Kareem discovered polo, a sport where he excelled, equipping him with the tools and inspiration to achieve success, both in the saddle and in life.
