Elly Mayday passed away at age 30, less than a year after this conversation was recorded. Elly was a powerhouse in the ovarian cancer community as a successful plus size pinup model, she used her extensive media following to document her journey with ovarian cancer. Shauna O’Hara Freeman knew something wasn’t right and faced a tough six-month battle to be taken seriously and get the health care she needed. Shauna discusses the cruel landscape of ovarian cancer and how it takes its toll not just on the woman, but their loved ones and carers.
