Send me a text with your biggest takeaway!

Welcome to episode 30 of the Future Template Parent Podcast! This week’s episode will touch on a common experience of every business owner and therapist - imposter syndrome. I will discuss imposter syndrome as an EMDR therapist, the negative impact it can have on therapy work, and how offering intensives can actually help challenge it. I will share my personal experience with imposter syndrome and feeling unworthy as a therapist despite years of training and experience.

During this episode, I acknowledge the negative impact of Imposter Syndrome on my work and recognize the importance of self-compassion and owning that we truly do excellent work. I will share  how imposter syndrome can cause potential issues when working with a client, as well as ways to overcome this fear and how CBT techniques have helped me to reframe these thoughts and manage anxieties. This topic will hit home for anyone looking to add intensives to their EMDR therapy practice and anyone who struggles with introducing something new into their practice.

Topics covered:

  • Imposter syndrome in therapy work.
  • Negative Impact of imposter syndrome on therapy work
  • Overcoming imposter syndrome through intensive therapy sessions
  • Managing imposter syndrome through self-compassion and reframing
