Tawny and Maria talk about the way technology has changed and how tricky it can be to adjust to so many different ways of getting information. They think back to when the internet started and reflect on how hard it is to teach tech to others. Tawny explores what it was like growing up with a progressive, compassionate dad who was also very abusive and how confusing it is to mourn someone who is still alive. Mental health and addiction touch almost every family in America, so why are we so mean when it comes to discussing it? The women open up about how tough it is to process the grief of losing someone that you chose to distance yourself from and talk about some of the ways love makes setting boundaries challenging. Is chivalry dead? Should it be? In a climate where women expect and encourage equality; what role does chivalry play in romantic relationships?

Tawny and Maria start off talking about the tragedy in Uvalde. They touch on the way we're conditioned to be constantly exposed to trauma and how it affects our mental health. Addiction has touched their lives from many different angles and they talk about how your relationship to the addict in your life can really alter the way you view addiction. Tawny opens up about how shadow work helped her to be more honest with herself and Maria pinpoints some of the emotions she has felt shameful for feeling in the past. As a single person; have you ever felt like your friends in relationships talked down to you when it came to talking about relationships? Tawny wonders why people in relationships think they've unlocked a level of self-mastery others can't achieve. This week starts off with a few edits to last week's episode and a reminder to find the balance between staying mad & staying mentally well. Tawny needs to know why women are conditioned to hold their poop and farts in and wonders if this is why so many women she knows have GI issues. Speaking of conditioning women; Maria and Tawny talk about how women are pitted against each other at a very early age and why hating other women can be such an easy path to wander down. Why do we assume that bad relationships should be easy to leave? Tawny touches on the JD/AH trial and why it has been so hard for her to see the way the media is handling things. Maria dishes on her idea of Girl Code and the ladies discuss what type of womanly behaviors they feel are never okay

Maria and Tawny are back! (and almost cold free). They dive right into it with a discussion about Roe v. Wade and where they stand on the issue. Maria reveals how Tik Tok has made her more open-minded and why she's so passionate about what she has learned. Together, they discuss their beliefs about what is happening in the world right now and how their views as white women (and about white women) have changed over the last few years. They chat about a few hot topics including cancel culture, the Don't Say Gay Bill and why parents think they get to dictate the lifestyles of their adult children. It's a heated return and we're so happy to be back!

This week Tawny and Maria talk about Brene Brown's theory that we are all emotional beings that occasionally behave logically. They discuss the importance of regulating your emotions and how our ability to cope begins in childhood. Personal experience plays a huge role in how we handle our emotions and Tawny breaks down how she discovered how to identify what she was really feeling. Maria talks about how painful it can be when those around you can't see when a villain is clearly being a villain. Can you be in a relationship with someone you don't respect? Tawny and Maria both discuss how the respect and adoration in their respective relationships was slowly stripped away and how it changed their behavior towards their partners. At the end of the day, we're driven by so many animal instincts, but is it on us to learn to control ourselves?
