  • E126 Recovery Day 2022

In celebration of Recovery Day hosted by USARA and all that we are capable of, this podcast is a selection of anonymous humans telling stories of what they have accomplished, what they aspire to and what they love. We ask all of them the same question.  “You have a story outside of drugs, alcohol and crime.  What is it?

  • E123 Threads

Another "song story" experiment collaboration between Sarah n Phil.  Since so many people can't make it to the ARC show where Sarah will be reading, we decided to put it on the podcast.   "Threads" weaves together themes of Grandma Dixie, domesticity, family, balancing of masculine and feminine, chaos and the human fabric.

  • E121 Last Chance for a Galactic Revolution?

We pulled Harvey the Bus up onto the sidewalk where USARA was hosting "Last Chance BBQ". We talked with people about recovery revolution and galactic revolution which happens to be the theme of our next show. There was a dog barking and a motorcycle drive by and a whole crowd of people hanging through the doors and windows watching us record this podcast and it was pretty cool.

  • E120 Menace

Two years ago, we met Menace.  At the time, he had over 150 tracks recorded on Youtube.  He gave his first stage performance at Own It, and had the whole crowd on their feet.
We talked with him about how to let go of addiction as the muse for the music, and what comes after it.  Own It has always been about evolution of language, truth and art.  Menace embodies all of these.  As one of the only rappers in Vernal, Utah, Menace obviously has the passion to keep making music, no matter what his circumstances.
**Stay tuned for two songs at the end.
    Song Credits...
    First Song- "Sometimes"  by Menace
Second Song- "Third Tribe Crew" by TTC (Phil's first Hip Hop collective recorded in 1999)

  • E119: The Most BEATiful Thing

Here is the introduction of "square world" and the vines which wind around it.  In our first attempt at what could be called music but not quite music, spoken word and instrumentation collide.  This is the masculine and feminine way finding.
