Two guys in different phases of life, half a continent apart, experiencing music in a parallel manner is just one of the oddities inside this episode of the podcast. Musically, it's a wild all-over-the-road van ride with friends to a festival!
The mission to recall their first ten concerts was challenge enough for the Imbalanced Ones, but aligning them in an episode of 5 Faves? Well, the results are right here!

It's great to welcome back our friend & HUGE Def Leppard fan Chris from My Rock n Roll Heaven & @rockthesetweets to our show to discuss seeing his favorite band live for the first time in 4 years.
The Stadium Tour with Def Leppard & Motley Crue as alternating co-headliners was announced in 2019 but thanks to COVID, it was delayed until this year. Def Leppard took the downtime to record one of their best efforts in years - Diamond Star Halos. Though Action Jackson caught the show in Florida, which we discussed on UAWIL #84, rain cut everyone's sets short. So we asked Chris to offer his experience in Toronto to compare to Jackson's, plus we want his take on how the new material fits in with the classics.

It’s not uncommon knowledge that Bob Dylan's live shows can be hit or miss. It depends on his mood and what songs he feels like playing. However, as a naive Dylan fan, my understanding of the artist was limited to the early-60s folk singer—the image of a man dwarfed by his guitar—the protest singer who denied ever singing a protest ballad.
Yet, when I saw Bob Dylan live, he hid behind a keyboard, and his arrangements sounded nothing like the song. A sinking disappointment grew with every note. This was a bait-and-switch performance.

This year, David Bowie would have turned 75. To recognize this occasion, Rock Historian/Author/Podcaster Martin Popoff has authored a coffee table book, simply called Bowie @75. One might think Martin would love everything about Bowie, but being the contrarian he is, Martin makes his opinion known as we touch on a number of the significant landmark moments in Bowie's storied career.
