  • Shout It Out Loudcast: Who Is Sam Loomis?"

This week Tom & Zeus bring back SIOL's favorite bootlegger, Roy Damm to break down, discuss and yes, identify who he believes is the person behind all the unseen KISS video footage that has taken the KISS Army by storm, the mysterious, Sam Loomis.

The guys ask Roy to share his thoughts on the whole KISS drama created by these, mostly never before seen footage. Roy also talks about his long term relationship with Curt Gooch, the so-called KISS buyers group and the man that he identifies as Sam Loomis.

As expected, Roy does not pull any punches and speaks HIS truth. This is a must listen to episode KISS Army!

  • Decibel Geek Podcast: Demolicious - Ep490

We're back this week with a brand edition of Demolicious! Sometimes, the coolest stuff gets left off of albums from our favorite artists. This week, we thought we'd highlight some of our favorite tracks that were either left off or were earlier versions of the finished product.

This week you'll get cool demos and unreleased tracks from lots of great artists. Aaron brings cool songs from AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Faster Pussycat, Wednesday 13, Enuff Z'nuff, Metallica, Tuff, Micky Ratt, and Mark St. John (allegedly). Chris features tracks by Alice in Chains, Pantera, Cinderella, Scorpions, Killer Dwarfs, Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy, and King Kobra.

Finding much info on many of these songs was difficult. If you have more background on some of these tracks, please let it in the comments section. Also, let us know what are some of your favorite demos and unreleased tracks!

We hope you enjoy this edition of Demolicious and SHARE with a friend!

  • Imbalanced History: The Jimi Hendrix Experience: "Are You Experienced?"

The focus here, after a classic two-part episode about Hendrix in the Fall of 2019, is the game-changing album, "Are You Experienced?" The Experience's debut set fire to all conventions except the use of instruments and electricity to create sound!!! Jimi's brilliance is underlined by the perfect sonic bed by Noel & Mitch for the exercising of the passions exhibited in those grooves!

The social conditions of the times are discussed as are their impact on the final contents of both the U.S. and U.K. versions of the album.

  • No Filler Music Podcast: Mysterious, Uncontrolled, Free: The Music of Pencey Sloe

Doomgaze is exactly what it sounds like: a blend of the slow and sludgy pace of doom metal with the wall-of-sound and ethereal vocals we've come to associate with shoegaze. Pencey Sloe is a French band that appear to have unintentionally stumbled into this label, or as lead singer Diane Pellotieri often puts it, their style is "completely uncontrolled, free, and blind." While the "doom" part of the label certainly applies during the heavier and sludgier moments of their music, what stands out most about Pencey Sloe is the melancholic, darkly luminous beauty of the vocals and lyrical themes. We chat about their debut LP Don't Believe, Watch Out and look ahead to the upcoming record Neglect that drops this fall.
