On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Nich Fairbanks(@Prudentia0) for another edition of Fairbanks Friday, as the Panthers got out to a 2-0 series lead after defeating the Carolina Hurricanes by a final of 5-0. The second line set the tone for the Cats they their forecheck was a force, created the first two goals. Now Gustav Forsling has joined in on the scoring as now it's 18 different goal scorers for them in 14 playoff games. The Cats got the best out of Andrei Svechnikov as he committed the turnovers that led to the first two goals, along with going to the box after an unnecessary roughing call on Matthew Tkachuk that the Panthers converted on the power play. The Canes looked to have cut it to a 3-1 deficit, but the Panthers bought time by using a timeout to look at the replay again where it was Brent Burns who touched the puck as it re-entered the Panthers zone, and before Carolina could tag up at the blue line, it was ruled an offside. Panthers continued to come in waves even after losing Sam Reinhart after a knee-on-knee collision from Sebastian Aho as the Panthers were gaining the zone, and did not return. How much of a concern is there now as the series shifts to Sunrise? Panthers set a record for most road playoff goals in their first nine games, and it's May 22nd and Sergei Bobrovsky has a shutout, something done two other times on this date.
