On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) for another edition of Winans Wednesday. The two broke down the Panthers' 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators, where it was another game in which the Panthers controlled play. Frustrations for Nashville came together in the first period where the Preds committed three penalties in the first, and five overall in the game, and the Panthers capitalized thanks to the Sam's. Bennett scored his 19th of the season on the power play, his first on the man advantage since late October. Justin Sourdif made his season debut, filling in for Eetu Luostarinen and got on the scoresheet after receiving a return feed off a give-n-go from Jesper Boqvist off the rush. Sam Bennett also had a Gordie Howe Hat trick, with answering the bell in the third period after he was called for a boarding penalty on Roman Josi in the previous period (Josi did not return), and had an assist to Mackie Samoskevich to extend their lead to four. Spencer Knight wasn't busy on the evening, but it was a full circle moment in Nashville based on where he was just a few years ago. The shot on goal differential didn't tell the whole story on how the Panthers lived in the Predators zone throughout the game, and the Cats never panicked when they gave up the one goal off the third chance opportunity.
