You know those conversations you just can't seem to get out of?
This episode is about those. :)
(Note: We apologize for the unpredictable static that occasionally pops up. from roughly 11min to 13 min there is intermittent static that we can't fix. But we tried to clean up the audio as much as we could so you can still hear everything just fine!)
You just need to listen to it. :)
No, really, go listen to it. Hand your feelings a tissue. And go live better when you're done listening. :)

Mental health is complex. And especially in public service, mental health is a gaping hole that we only explore the top tier that we can see, and too often we overlook those who are suffering on the bottom that don't seem to have a way up. Our glorification of constant stress, lack of sleep, and mediocre personal lives, are actually far more dangerous in the long run than most of us imagine.
We all have bad days. When shit just doesn't feel right, go right, or sit right. When you're alone with the dark corners of your mind.
And it's ok. You'll be ok. This too shall pass. And we will carry on.
Are you past the honeymoon phase of your relationship with EMS? Are you feeling neglected? Were you wanting something more than a cool shirt and a nice memo?
Well, Michelle delivers a potent message about how EMS week should become a highlight of year-long mutual appreciation and investment, not an obligatory checklist. Hang on for the ride, Lindas!
Welcome to Daniel's polarizing Ted Talk on snitch culture and cliques. Won't spoil the fun here. Enjoy!!!

As we gear up for EMS week, we wanted to show some love to the EMTs who bust ass to save our asses all the time! You can't be a quality paramedic without being a quality EMT, so we can never spend too much time reinforcing their skills and knowledge. This one is for you guys and gals that proudly wear the title "EMT"!

"There's no such thing as a life-saving IV." Dean Douglas, NRP, addressing the new paramedic class in Spring 2014 at Greenville Technical College.
As our mutual paramedic instructor (Chris R.) used to say, "There's two kinds of medics: Those who stay and play, and those who load and go. The GREAT medics can switch back and forth when needed."
Michelle drops some important truth about prioritizing care and transport decisions on critical scenes. In classic "Listen, Linda!" fashion, the gloves are off and no punches are pulled. Enjoy!!!
One-uppers and energy vampires are equally toxic to EMS culture.
People who are healthy and fulfilled in life don't spend their time tearing you down. They want to see people healthy and fulfilled.
People who are unhealthy and unfulfilled don't want you to be happier than them. They will try to undermine your happiness.
