Paranormality UK

Could your bedtime routine be opening a door to an eerie world of sleep paralysis? We unravel the peculiarities of sleep paralysis in this episode, as shared by our listener, Ted from Minnesota. Ted’s late-night crossword puzzle habit has been stirring up more than just his love for words, leading to chilling encounters with a shadowy figure. Is this a paranormal entity or the creation of an overactive brain in slumber? We ponder these possibilities and the curious concept of shared nightmares.

Hold your breath as we dive into the spine-chilling tale of Elliot, who as a child, had an uncanny encounter with a haunted photo. A deceased infant’s picture seems to harbor a peculiar entity that rattled Elliot’s life, culminating in a vision of a hanging woman that persists to this day. Is this an echo from the past or something far more sinister? Sit tight as we delve into this haunting narrative.

Tony, our third listener, has had a brush with the supernatural that's both heartwarming and jaw-dropping. A familiar face in a Google Street View of his father's childhood home and an encounter with a spiritualist who predicted his relationship and described his grandfather with uncanny accuracy, makes Tony's story an intriguing part of our episode. As we celebrate our podcast milestone, we look back at our journey filled with eerie encounters and paranormal incidents, and look forward to the mysteries that await in the realm of the unexplained. Brace yourself for an episode that's bound to keep you on the edge of your seat!

Prepare to have your reality turned on its head as we welcome esteemed guest Philip Mantle, a distinguished figure in UFO research. Philip, who once headed investigations at the British UFO Research Association and represented Mufon in England, brings fresh revelations from his new book, "Beyond Reasonable Doubt". Our journey takes us back to 1973 and a chilling episode that's been the subject of much speculation - the Pasta Gugula Alien Abduction. Philip dissects this shocking event, recounting the experience of two men spirited away by humanoid creatures into a rugby ball-shaped object.

But the intrigue doesn't end there! We pivot to another abduction story that gripped the public consciousness, the Pascagoula Abduction. At the center of this tale are two men, Calvin Parker and Charlie Hickson, whose lives took dramatically different turns following their encounter. We analyze how they coped under the intense media scrutiny, and the surprising twist with the Blair family who claim a similar encounter the very same night. This is a story that forces us to rethink our understanding of alien abductions and their profound impact on people's lives.

Join us as we reflect on the changing societal attitudes towards alien encounters, using the Pascagoula Abduction as a case study. Philip brings a unique perspective on this issue, considering his extensive experience in UFO research. He shares how society's viewpoint on UFO sightings has evolved over the years, leading to more individuals coming forward with their stories. We also touch upon the changing world of publishing and how books like Philip's "Without Consent" are crucial in bringing global alien abduction accounts into the light. Strap in, open your mind, and get ready to question the fabric of your reality!

Unfortunately, since recording this episode, Calvin Parker is no longer with us, RIP.

Have you ever had a decorative piece that seemed to bring more than just aesthetics to your home? Join my sister Mandy and I as we unravel the tale of the infamous ‘Crying Boy’ painting, a popular piece by Giovanni Bregolin. This seemingly innocent artwork of a tearful boy has left a trail of mystery and destruction, as homes displaying it catch fire while the painting remains untouched by the flames.

Our family has a haunting connection to this painting, which mysteriously disappeared from our home during a move in the mid-80s. As we dig into our family history, we explore the eerie possibility that even copies of the painting may carry the same ominous power. We also discuss our mother's psychic abilities and ponder whether she could have sensed danger from the painting. Mandy and I share our spine-chilling encounters and an uncanny story from her childhood that might explain why the poltergeist in our home had a peculiar aversion to pointy objects.

We reveal the darkest chapter of our family history, when a poltergeist turned our home into a house of horrors. We had to call in a minister to perform an exorcism, a traumatic experience that left no physical injuries but had a profound psychological impact. Join us on this fascinating journey into the intersection of art, mystery, and the supernatural. Discover a side of the art world that is as eerie as it is captivating.
