Eiréné and Shalom: peace of mind; invocation of peace a common Jewish farewell, in the sense of the health (welfare) of an individual. When all essential parts are joined together, peace (God's gift of wholeness).

Satan is constantly trying to take our shoes off.

Three signs we are not wearing our shoes of peace.

1. We are easily upset.

Purpose of body armor. It protects our internal organs, more specifically, our hearts. God's righteousness protects us.

Three signs you are missing your body armor of righteousness:

1. You are compromising with sin.

You are not guarding your heart, and there is some part of your conscience that is seared. You are experiencing apathy.

2. You are under some level of deception.

There are areas of your life where you believe the lies of the enemy.

You are experiencing fear, anxiety, and depression.

3. You are relying more on yourself than God.

You live in doubt of God and even your eternal salvation. You are experiencing a lack of assurance.

Why should we care about making sure our body armor of righteousness is on?

Foundational Truth: We are created in the image of God, and our morality and character come from Him.

Foundational Lie: God has no image. My character is based on what I think I am and rooted in what I do and experience.

Why is this lie so powerful? Because it gives us exactly what we want.

Three ways we know when we are not wearing the belt of truth:

1. When we are not living in true freedom.
