Join us on Episode 41 of the Pastor | Scholar Podcast as we see that throughout Scripture, God reveals His faithfulness to His promises and His saving purposes for both Jew and Gentile. We explore gospel ministry among Jewish people and the enduring hope found in Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah. As the Word exposes humanity’s need for redemption, it calls every person to repent of sin and believe in Christ alone, in whom forgiveness and life are found.

Isaac Brickner serves as the Los Angeles Branch Leader for Jews for Jesus, continuing a family legacy of sharing the good news of the Messiah that began with his great-great-grandmother Esther in Ukraine. Raised in San Francisco, Isaac grew up deeply connected to Jews for Jesus through Camp Gilgal and later embraced God’s calling on his life during a formative missions trip to Israel and India in 2008.

Join us on Episode 36 of the Pastor | Scholar Podcast as we ask the question of what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. The Bible calls us not only to believe but to follow—denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and walking in obedience to Him. We examine what Scripture teaches about discipleship, the Great Commission, and how churches today often miss this vital truth.

Join us on Episode 35 of the Pastor | Scholar Podcast as we see that throughout Scripture, we are told to watch and be ready, for the signs of the times will not take us by surprise if we cling to God’s Word. In this conversation, we open the Bible and consider what Jesus taught about wars, rumors of wars, nations rising against nations, and the beginning of birth pangs. The call of Christ is not to fear, but to repent and believe the gospel, for only in Him is there salvation. Today is the day of salvation—turn to Christ and be ready for His coming.

Join us on Episode 35 of the Pastor | Scholar Podcast as we look behind the scenes of the podcast. From the very beginning, God has been at work in ways that we could not have imagined. What may appear small in man’s eyes, the Lord uses for His purposes, reminding us that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). This conversation pulls back the curtain on how the Lord has shaped this work to proclaim His truth.

Join us on Episode 34 of the Pastor | Scholar Podcast as we unpack the most misquoted and misunderstood verses in modern Christianity. Not everything said in the name of Scripture is faithful to what God actually said. Sometimes what sounds biblical is far from what the Bible really teaches. In this episode, we test familiar phrases against the Word rightly handled. The goal is not controversy—but clarity. May the truth bring conviction, correction, and ultimately, repentance and life in Christ.

At Pastor | Scholar, we bridge the gap between the local church and Christian academia, diving deep into Scripture, theology, and practical matters with a historical, grammatical, literal, and dispensational hermeneutic. Subscribe now for more episodes that bring clarity and depth to your faith!
