Our old pal Justin Murray of Devil's Hollow, Zydeco Blanco, and many many more musical projects joins us for his first episode of Hearview Hotel. We discuss bad gigs, good gigs, gear hoarding, the one time Matt and Justin got into an argument in Hot Springs, getting into wrecks and playing gigs right afterward and much much more. We cap it off with a bizarre call to a hotel to book rooms for Devil's Hollow Sixteentet. The call ends with a standing ovation and hearty laughs from the woman we talked to.

We make up a song about overcoming adversity through trying times and then call around to get people to recite the lyrics for our big studio gig. We also perform the song live for strangers with varying results.

We air out all of our dirty laundry in this episode. We call around thanking people for saving our lives earlier in the day, and they promise to tell their manager and check the tapes. Casey wins the contest for most serious boy. We figure out how to grow cheeseburgers, and Dion gets chewed out by his manager again, and it's supposedly "entertaining" according to the person we called, but we don't think it's very funny. What is the difference between a chocolate bar and candy? What about candy bars and oddly shaped chocolate desert items like Reese's Pieces? Can we really be true to ourselves by labeling things anyway? Whooooaaaaaa. We watch Axl Rose stumble through a bad show and then we do impressions of him. We stand tall, we keep it 69, we do it double time, 840 you know what I'm saying? Next up we call up comedian Brent Weinbach's "Gangster Party Line" and talk some MAD shit on their answering machine. Then we talk about how water is recycled infinitely throughout the history of the earth.

What would it take to get Casey to commit a felony? We examine some of the dumbest crimes in the country in a new segment, Matt tries to shave it hard and asks for advice from a guitar shop, we visit Jack's replacement, Casey calls in a prayer about his messed up phone and sings his heart out to strangers like a bunch of mentos and cicadas shaken up in a 20 oz soda bottle. Like a bat straight out of hell.

Visions of Cesar kicks off the episode, followed by some truly terrible music, a guy puking from taking a nasty bong rip, and then a guy passed out on a toilet. We stumble through how Matt can improve himself by washing his pants, and ask ChatRouletters and businesses if they're "shaving that shit". But the end of the episode features an investigation into UFOs and the exit of our friend Jack from the podcast. Then we link up a couple of businesses to discuss voice modulators and the Department of Defense amongst themselves.

Later Hacksaw Jim Duggan calls a hotel to rent out the place for light touch wrestling and a strong man competition, our friend Cesar calls a prayer line to talk about his interaction with a rat, and then we call a couple of porn shops to ask about religious adult novelty items for Mother's Day.

How do you sound in your most private and intimate of moments? We bet that it isn't good. Why were closeups of men's faces so prevalent in late 20th century adult films? We explore the many reasons for such ridiculous editing decisions. Later in the episode we watch Casey endure a tornado watch and then we make live outbound weather report calls to hotels. Shelby also returns in the final call of the episode.

Matt mispronounces "faculty", hacks into his elementary school computer network, we discuss classic gym coaches, the return of the mullet, a new diet/workout plan, we check out Jim Bakker, an old speed dater named Mr. Slick Man, make botched calls about tickling, take a Spanish vacation with a bartender, and try to make reservations for graduation at fast food restaurants. But the end of the episode includes a surreal call from a couple of party animals to a dude who needs to shut 'er down and get those dogs to stop their barking.
