Patriots on CLNS

FOXBORO -- New England Patriots guard Cole Strange returned to practice on Wednesday after recovering from a knee injury that sidelined him late in the 2023 season. Head coach Jerod Mayo described his return as a pivotal step in his rehabilitation journey.

Strange, the Patriots' 2022 first-round pick, was a key contributor during his rookie year, starting all 17 games, and started 10 games in 2023 before his injury. His return is expected to strengthen an offensive line that has struggled with consistency throughout the season. CLNS Media's Taylor Kyles and Sports Illustrated's Mike Kadlick discuss Strange's return and explore whether he could potentially shift to the center position when he rejoins the lineup.

Meanwhile, CLNS Media's Taylor Kyles weighs in on the growing criticism of Van Pelt from the fan base, especially regarding his handling of the offense and quarterback development. Kyles also examines the potential changes on the offensive line, as adjustments may be necessary to provide better protection and support for Maye in the weeks ahead.
