We didn’t know who Orlando City would play next when we did last week’s show but it turned out to be the Montreal Impact and the Lions were kind enough to go ahead and win that game, 1-0. We break down Orlando’s Round of 16 victory over the Impact and make our Man of the Match selections. We set the MLS is Back bracket for you for the quarterfinals.

Dom Dwyer is out of the bubble and we’ll give you the latest on that, although there isn’t much to say. We also express our surprise and delight at the Houston Dash winning the NWSL Challenge Cup. And OCB is scheduled to finally play a match this Saturday.

Alicia Rodriguez from Angels on Parade joins us to give the LAFC perspective ahead of Friday’s quarterfinal match-up. Basically, LAFC is really good but also sometimes gives the opposition a chance to stay in games if they can convert their chances. Big thanks to Alicia for giving us some background on LAFC and former Lion Mohamed El-Munir.

After the discussion with Alicia we touch on the firing of Frank de Boer by Atlanta United and then we dive into this week’s mailbag, which features questions about superpowers and supervillains (including LAFC).
