Another downy soft penalty, an uncalled second yellow on Lionel Messi, a chalked-off goal, a forcible hand to Kyle Smith's throat (also uncalled), and more combined to take an exciting, contentious, rivalry knockout match out of the hands of the players on the field.

We broke down Orlando City's breakdowns and those of the officiating crew, made our Man of the Match selections, and look forward to catching our breath during the down time between now and Aug. 20. We also discussed how I told you so with regard to Messi, only it was worse than I even imagined it could be.
