• Three people were killed in a horrific car crash Tuesday morning on the Route 1 Bypass in Upper Providence Township, Delaware County.
• Holiday travel is picking up as we approach the Fourth of July. Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be the busiest days during this record-breaking holiday travel period. 
• “Fast internet access is coming to a neighborhood near you,” said Mayor Cherelle Parker at a ceremony Monday celebrating a new cable franchise agreement with Verizon.

• The Supreme Court ruled that a former president has absolute immunity for official acts but not for unofficial acts, extending the delay in the criminal case against Donald Trump on charges he plotted to overturn his 2020 presidential election loss and all but ending prospects he could be tried before the November election. So, which of Trump's actions in special counsel Jack Smith's indictment are official and which are unofficial? A lower court now must decide.

• Mayor Cherelle Parker signed a five-year agreement in May but wanted to highlight Monday the benefits it will bring the city, including free wifi at every rec center and 260 other city-owned locations.

• Two homicides, including one committed with a high-powered rifle, marked a hot and humid weekend in Philly that saw a total of seven people get shot.
• The Philadelphia Zoo, which is America's first zoo, is celebrating its 150th grand opening anniversary today.
• Philadelphia’s crackdown on sidewalk parking is yielding lots of tickets. The Parking Authority says violations have gone up by a factor of seven, compared to last year, since the effort started in May.
• Philadelphia's Fourth of July celebration begins on July 2 this year. 

• The Penn Museum will be jam-packed with good music, food, and drinks every Wednesday this July.

• Police say a woman died Friday afternoon while trying to escape gunshots fired into her Kensington house.
• At least two people are dead following separate shootings in Philadelphia this weekend.
• The Pennsylvania Senate passed a bipartisan bill aimed at protecting investments in Israel. 
• Late fees for overdue books are being forgiven by libraries in Burlington County, New Jersey, and late fees are gone for good starting July 1. 
• The Philadelphia Inquirer's editorial board has called for Donald Trump to drop out of the presidential race. The move comes after large publications like The New York Times and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution called for Joe Biden to withdraw.

• New Jersey's Democrat-led Legislature passed a $56.6 billion budget Friday. It now goes to Gov. Phil Murphy, who's expected to sign it.
• A woman was shot through a window while inside a house in Kensington Friday. 
• Malik Flegler, now 18, admitted to being in the Mill Creek Recreation Center near 47th and Brown streets on Sept. 9, 2022, where 41-year-old Tiffany Fletcher was shot in the stomach by a stray bullet and later died at the hospital.
•  Former Philadelphia City Councilmember Donna Reed Miller, who represented parts of Northwest Philadelphia for more than a decade, has died. She was 77.
• Two longtime Flyers trainers who claim fumes from a Zamboni machine gave them cancer now have a corresponding lawsuit in New Jersey involving a group of team insurers.

• Record-breaking travel is projected for the Fourth of July holiday, and some are getting a head start today. 
• An Atlantic County grand jury has indicted a Galloway Township man for attempted murder and related charges in the stabbing of a cop.
• The SEPTA Board signed off on a new $1.74 billion budget for the fiscal year that starts on Monday, but it’s contingent on the state budget that is still being debated in Harrisburg.
• On National HIV Testing Day Thursday, one non-profit public health organization that works to reduce the harms associated with drug use, hosted a community event in Kensington.

• The Biden campaign hosted several debate watch parties across Philadelphia. Supporters commended the president despite criticism that he trailed off at points and gave some nonsensical answers.
• A 32-year-old mom from Philadelphia was charged following the death of her infant son, who officials said was exposed to a drug known as tranq.
• An agreement has been reached between health provider Advocare and a major insurance group in the region days before their contract was set to expire.

• Delaware County residents will soon have free public health help at their fingertips -- literally. Officials will roll out special machines that will provide people with help on the spot.
