- The West Philadelphia community is trying to wrap their heads around Wednesday’s shooting at an event celebrating the end of Ramadan. A 15-year-old boy and 22-year-old man were wounded when two groups opened fire into the crowd of about a thousand. Another 15-year-old boy, who police say was armed, was shot by a responding officer. A 15-year-old girl was also hospitalized with a broken leg after a responding police patrol wagon hit her amid the chaos.
- The estranged husband of the Wyndmoor woman who was found stabbed to death in her home Wednesday is charged with her murder. Authorities say he took an Uber from his Bucks County hotel to and from the murder scene.
- Sixteen people across the city and another in Delaware County have been and arrested and charged after authorities took down a major Philadelphia-based drug trafficking operation.
- New Jersey U.S. Senator Bob Menendez and his wife will be tried separately on allegations that they participated in a bribery scheme. That's the ruling Thursday by a federal judge who agreed to sever and delay Nadine Menendez’s trial after her lawyers said she required treatment for a serious medical condition. Senator Menendez's trial will remain scheduled for May 6 in Manhattan federal court.
