• A federal appeals court will hear arguments today on the constitutionality of New Jersey’s county-line ballot system. 
• Two major gun manufacturers have agreed to temporarily halt the sale of gun parts in Philadelphia and the neighboring Pennsylvania suburbs for four years.
• Love 'em or hate 'em, the Phillies will debut their new blue and yellow City Connect jerseys tonight.

• The West Philadelphia community is trying to wrap their heads around Wednesday’s shooting at an event celebrating the end of Ramadan. A 15-year-old boy and 22-year-old man were wounded when two groups opened fire into the crowd of about a thousand. Another 15-year-old boy, who police say was armed, was shot by a responding officer. A 15-year-old girl was also hospitalized with a broken leg after a responding police patrol wagon hit her amid the chaos.
• The estranged husband of the Wyndmoor woman who was found stabbed to death in her home Wednesday is charged with her murder. Authorities say he took an Uber from his Bucks County hotel to and from the murder scene.
• Sixteen people across the city and another in Delaware County have been and arrested and charged after authorities took down a major Philadelphia-based drug trafficking operation.
• New Jersey U.S. Senator Bob Menendez and his wife will be tried separately on allegations that they participated in a bribery scheme. That's the ruling Thursday by a federal judge who agreed to sever and delay Nadine Menendez’s trial after her lawyers said she required treatment for a serious medical condition. Senator Menendez's trial will remain scheduled for May 6 in Manhattan federal court.

• Muslims around the world have marked the conclusion of Ramadan, known as Eid Al-Fitr.

• The millions of women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II and inspired the allegorical "Rosie the Riveter" icon received a Congressional Gold Medal in Washington on Wednesday.  

• Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker introduced more new appointments to her administration at City Hall on Wednesday, including the new prisons commissioner.

The KYW Newsradio All-Local — Wednesday, April 10, 2024 (Evening Edition):

• Shots rang out at an Eid al-Fitr celebration in West Philadelphia on Wednesday. Police say two kids and one adult were injured. KYW Newsradio's Nina Baratti has more.

• A Philadelphia police officer is in stable condition after officials say his marked motorcycle was intentionally struck by an ATV in South Philadelphia Tuesday night. KYW Newsradio's John McDevitt has details.

• A SEPTA bus jumped the curb and slammed into a utility pole early Wednesday morning in Delaware County after the driver left the cab for a break. KYW Newsradio’s Conner Barkon reports.

• The government is taking a major step in making the water we drink safer. The EPA is now setting a national standard for the presence of PFAS – also known as “forever chemicals” — in water.  It’s the first ever national standard to limit PFAS in drinking water. As KYW Newsradio’s Justin Udo tells us, Pennsylvania officials are calling this a critical milestone.

• A SEPTA bus hopped a curb and took out a utility pole early this morning in Upper Darby after the operator left the driver’s seat. KYW Newsradio’s Conner Barkon reports from the scene.

• One person is dead and another is injured in a double shooting at a gas station in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. KYW Newsradio's Mike Dougherty is at police headquarters with more on this.

• Many 76ers fans had to cross a picket line of striking Aramark workers to get to Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Pistons at the Wells Fargo Center. The workers were asking fans not to buy food or drink at the game. and some fans say they made sure to eat before they entered. KYW Newsradio’s Nina Baratti was there.

The KYW Newsradio All-Local on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 (morning edition):

• Sixers fans who took the Broad Street Line to the game last night were met by Aramark union workers during their one-day strike. They asked fans to avoid buying concessions as they continue negotiations for a better contract.
• The number of kids getting hold of guns and unintentionally shooting either themselves or other kids is drastically increasing. In 2019, two children were involved in unintentional shootings. In 2021, about a dozen kids unintentionally shot themselves or another kid — and about two dozen have every year since.
• The Eagles will look vastly different in 2024, after the recent retirement of some long-time veteran stars. Center Jason Kelce officially announced his retirement last month. And shortly thereafter, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox said he’d be calling it a career. The legend finally said goodbye Tuesday afternoon.

• Aramark workers at the Wells Fargo Center began a strike at dawn ahead of the night's Sixers game.
• Police are looking for a suspect after a man was stabbed in the neck and then run over with a car in South Philly on Monday.

• A 3-year-old girl who was shot in the eye Saturday afternoon in East Germantown has died.

• Police are looking to identify suspects they say were caught on camera vandalizing cars near Temple University this weekend. 
• Transit leaders and elected officials gathered at SEPTA’s Market-Frankford Line and trolley stop at 30th Street on Monday to celebrate the station’s $50 million facelift — and its new name.
