Anthony Giordano, founder of Stand Up South Philly, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to preview an upcoming rally being held today to protest against the potential for safe injection sites in Philadelphia. Last week, news broke that Mayor Kenney was meeting with representatives from Safehouse, the nation’s leading organization in the push for safe injection sites, to potentially rebirth the discussion of a similar site in Philadelphia. Two years ago, Anthony Giordano, along with other Philadelphians, teamed together and through the courts received a decision that such a site would be illegal. Anthony tells the negative impact that such sites have on communities, and tells why he and others are so against such an initiative.
