Let’s face it, working on your own can be really tricky.
And we all learnt that being disconnected that be really challenging on your mental health.
I recently had a stint where my daughter was away - and for those of you who know me know that this is incredibly hard for me, as we have been joined at the hip since she was born (it is just the two of us in our household)
So I had a bit of a crisis, and it effected me in ways I never predicted.

One of the most profitable days I do in my business is where I allow multiple people to come into one location back to back. Some call it mini sessions, I prefer NOT to use this title, but as it is industry understood, I am running with that title.
Now I know that doing mini sessions is not for everyone. But if you like the idea of pouring your energy into one shoot experience and one shoot day, and you can mange 2-3+ people in one day, this can be a great addition to your product suite,
Best of all as the cost of pulling together the day is split across multiple people, the offer can be a great deal for your clients.

So one of my favorite things to do is to connect with photographers who I have trained and see how they have grown in their business. And this guy is a legend in my eyes.
Mike Styer is a Philadelphia/Exton-based headshot and branding photographer who works with small businesses, corporations, entrepreneurs, to create “a photographic experience that doesn’t suck!”
I was so keen to invite Mike onto the Podcast, cause I just love that Mike adopted and adapted when we worked together, but he didn’t try to flip his entire business model. And best of all, he has been able to increase his average sales significantly as a result.
Mike is also a bit of a marketing geek like me so I was so keen to learn and get him to share what he has learnt about SEO, something I have a basic knowledge and practise of, but this discussion just blew my mind about possibilities of going deeper into SEO.
And as Mike and I both started out young in our businesses, I was keen to open up a discussion about self learning through running a business.

It is easy to get stuck when creating your packages in how many images to include. 

Often this can mean that you don’t include as many photos or create larger packages for your would-be clients.

It is also important to educate your clients about where they can use their images so they are aware of the value of having a whole collection at their fingertips.
