Welcome back to the podcast. I’m saying that to myself as well as to you. I’ve been involved in a couple different activities lately and I just wanted to share those experiences with you; talk about AI; and ask the question… Is it important to study the past in photography?
Enjoy

I don’t talk a lot about post processing. It’s not a big part of my photography. However, Adobe has come out with a new feature that can really help me on those times when I have to push the ISO limitations of my digital camera.
Also had a fun conversation on Facebook this morning (Friday). It motivated me to talk a little bit about the topic, Medium Format Film cameras tonight.
Enjoy.

There are many times when I will think to myself, “I believe I was born about 50 years too late.” Don’t get me wrong; it’s not that I don’t appreciate the times that I do live in and the things that exist today that weren’t even thought of back in the mid-twentieth century. But when it comes to music, photography, style, aesthetics and craftsmanship… man, there is something to be said for the way we used to do things. This is no news flash. We all know how inspiring it can be to look through photo books of some or our favorite photographers.
This episode is for new photographers who might not have considered this yet, and for those of us who need reminding from time to time to pick up and flip through one of your favorite photo books.
I’ll also share what some of my favorite books are.
Enjoy.

Hey, I hope you are all doing great. Wanted to share with you some thoughts I’ve had recently on a few things. Putting in the effort, getting out their more frequently with your camera (a message I really need to listen to). Record your music. Add it to your podcast or YouTube channel. Oh yeah, and, start a YouTube channel. I’ll share with you some reasons that might convince you why you should. Fun stuff. Enjoy.

This is really a continuation of last weeks episode. Based on some of the comments I’ve seen around the web on the AI topic, I thought it might be interesting to talk a little more about the subject of technology and change.
I share some of my stories as a musician and the parallel progression of my two favorite things; music and photography.
Enjoy.

Portland, Oregon. This is my favorite city I’ve ever lived in. I lived there from fall of ’82 to the fall of ’97. It rained most of the time I was there. Okay, maybe not most of the time… …it rained a lot.But you know what? That shows how cool this town is. In spite o the amount of rain and gloomy overcast days, I stayed for 15 years, and still miss it today.I love the architecture; the people (some of the most creative people I’ve ever…The post Photography Matters Ep 111 – Technology – Makes Things Better, Or Just Makes Things Easier? appeared first on Photography Matters.
Change. We all know it’s inevitable; it’s a big part of life. We all know how photography has changed since it was first born.
A new step “forward” I’ve been hearing about for a while now is AI Photography. Wild stuff. I’ll share my 2 cents.
Enjoy.
