There are two books that I love to read over and over again. The first one is “QBQ” by John G Miller and the second one is “Find Your Why” by Simon Sinek. They both talk about the word why, yet in very, very different ways. One says to use the word ‘why’ to further your business and one says not to use ‘why’.
This begs us to ask the question: “WHY is that?”

Finding Your Why
The two P's of marketing that business owners tend to dread the most are:
It's about how to position yourself to be different from your competition as well as defining how you are unique... and yes, YOU are unique!
In this episode, you will not only learn how to create your unique selling proposition, but I will also be touching on the six most common pricing strategies for you to consider.
You know what you sell, yet how well can you describe it to others? In this episode, we talk about the seven questions that will get you further down the line of being able to create content that you can use in your marketing strategies.
If you want your brand to be remembered, incorporating emotion into your messaging is the best way to do that. What emotions do your products/services elicit or eliminate that your customers can relate to?

Your products and services include so much more than just features and benefits. To engage your audience, it’s about what feelings you invoke or mitigate when your message goes out into the world.
The #1 emotion people are trying to mitigate is FEAR. Becoming familiar with the different kinds of fear helps you to better understand your target audience and hence the marketing you create. And who knows… you may even learn something new about yourself!
Rant week alert!!
You sell more than a product or a service. You sell more than a feature or its benefits. You sell emotions… You sell solutions… You solve problems… and that's what people buy!
So ask yourself this question: What am I REALLY selling?
This is a question that you may need to bounce off of somebody else.

You need to dig deeper than just “to make money” when it comes to WHY you need marketing in the first place. It’s not always simply for brand awareness and new clients. This episode will be talking about how to make quick and easier sales by selling to your existing clients, as well as playing the long game of establishing yourself as a subject matter expert.
After having this conversation with my clients, they say… “I never thought of it that way!” It’s time for your “aha” moment.

Hearing from a fellow business owner about how she determines the WHY she needs marketing is a great way to understand how you perceive WHY you need marketing. Jenn Stanford, owner of Club Pilates in Brookfield, WI, shares her a-ha moments when it comes to knowing WHY she needs marketing in the first place and talks about the misconceptions she had about marketing until she started to intentionally learn from marketing experts in her network.
If your first question isn’t “WHY” then your marketing may just be a waste of time and money. How are your marketing efforts working for you?
