Social media threats made against Milliones [muh-lions] Prepretory School led to the discovery of several weapons and two arrests Thursday. Pittsburgh Police were notified of a 17-year-old posting videos, posing with firearms and making threats. Detectives traced the posts to a home in the 2100 block of Rose Street, where officers say they saw a young man leave the home and get into a box truck. They stopped the vehicle and say 18-year-old Jackiel Young had a pistol with a 50-round magazine and a switch to make a Glock fully automatic. Later, the 17-year-old accused of making the threats left the residence and got into a vehicle. It was stopped and police say the unidentified boy had an AK-47 and two pistols. He was arrested but later released to the custody of a family member. Young is facing multiple charges and was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

The Steelers and the city are trying to bring the NFL Draft to Pittsburgh. NewsRadio KDKA's Shelby Cassesse has the story:

The Steelers confirmed they have partnered with the city of Pittsburgh to submit a request to host the draft in either 2026 or 2027. Team spokesperson Burt Lauten told the Big K Morning Show it's been a long time coming. 

There likely won't be answer until owners meetings in May. The draft will be in Detroit next year and Green Bay in 2025. The last time Pittsburgh hosted a draft in pro sports was in 2012. The NHL draft at the then-named Consol Energy Center.

Police have made an arrest in an online sale turned robbery Tuesday. 18-year-old Tysair Anderson is facing multiple charges - including robbery and simple assault. Police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Avenue around 9:45 a.m. They say when they arrived, a man said he was meeting up with Anderson to give him a pair of shoes purchased online. Instead, Anderson allegedly pulled a gun and robbed the victim. Police found him shortly after and took him into custody. 

This morning the Steelers posted a statement from Mike Tomlin saying, Matt Canada has been relieved of his duties as offensive coordintator. Live in the newsroom, News Radio KDKA's Suzie Cool has more.

Though no official statements have been made, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports running back coach Eddie Faulkner will take over as offensive coordinator, with quarterback coach Mike Sullivan handling play-calling duties. Senior Associate Athletic Director Pat Bostick says:

A man was shot in McKees Rocks early this morning. Allegheny County Police say officers responded to the 16 block of Bell Avenue around 1:30. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police are investigating. 

Yesterday officers were called about a dog tied to a pole that appeared to be abandoned in a short-term parking garage at Pittsburgh International Airport. Investigators do believe they have video of the man from inside the airport, but have yet to identify him. The dog is currently in the care and custody of Animal Friends.

Allegheny County Airport Inspector Kenneth Ruckel has more.

This is the second time in just four months a dog has been abandoned at the airport. Ruckel urges flyers to check TSA's website prior to flying to avoid this from happening again.

One man was injured as police responded to reports of shots fired in Turtle Creek last night. It happened in the 100 block of Penn Avenue just after 8:00. When officers arrived they found a man with a leg injury, but he was not shot. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Anyone with information is asked to call Allegheny County Police. 

The number of people learning how to steal certain Kia models is growing exponentially. Why and how? NewsRadio KDKA's Paul Rasmussen has the story:

The trend is fueled by social media videos showing others how to do it. The thieves call themselves Kia Boys and they've been busy in Pittsburgh. On the Big K Morning Show, Courtney Knotts said her Kia was stolen Saturday from the parking lot at her South Side Works apartment building:

A huge "March for Israel" is planned for today in Washington, DC. Hundreds of Pittsburgh residents left the city in buses early today to attend the march. One report estimates as many as 60,000 to 100,000 people will gather near the US Capitol this afternoon. The Department of Homeland Security has reportedly designated the march a Level 1 security event, meaning a lot of federal, state and local resources will be deployed to keep the marchers safe.
