We HATE the word “trap game” around here at SCU. However, it’s tossed around so much, and Mike Tomlin coached teams have a history of playing down to teams with losing records while on the road, we HAVE to explore the ins-and-outs of a potential “trap”.

Yet, there’s no way I can convince myself that this game is one of those that the Steelers can play down to their competition. It’s not that, with a bunch of injuries, this could be a game the Steelers stumble.

After all, they tend to be their own worst enemy.

However, the Dolphins are so bad, and have some critical injuries, which make it almost impossible to fathom a Pittsburgh loss.

Joe’s finally back after some personal and technical difficulties, to hopefully bring a fresh approach from the Jets game.

There were some incredible performances, and a few letdowns (that weren’t so much letdowns) to talk about.

All of this alleviates some concerns that existed before the Jets game, and perhaps, still exist headed to South Beach next Sunday.

We’ll talk about a little bit of that, and what the “biggest” letdown was of this Jets game, as well.

At a time when everything has been very, VERY bad for Gang Green.

Even with a patchwork offensive line, we’ll explain why Big Ben could be in a for an encore performance in this Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.

Holy cow! Is this Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde?!

I sure hope we see more of the “good doctor” as Steelers Nation got a huge dose of what the offense, and the DEFENSE, can do in the big primetime victory on Sunday Night versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Seriously, there was so much to talk about, I don’t know how it was contained to only one show: offense, defense and special teams all had tremendous nights. We’re going to talk about some individual performances which stood out, particularly two undrafted players who went from underdogs to make the roster, to having their name listed as starter, as well as Ben’s big night.

Steelers Nation is on fire! Wow!

I can’t believe some of the things I’ve heard over the last week: and I won’t repeat them! However, everyone needs to relax, because the Steelers usually do GREAT after a loss, especially during the Mike Tomlin era.

We’ll also explain why there’s other reason for optimism and why fans shouldn’t throw in their Terrible Towels just yet… even if there are a slew of injuries standing in Pittsburgh’s way.

This is not exactly the show I had in mind when I pictured it in my head.

The Steelers lose… no, the Steelers are embarassed 34-3 by the Philadelphia Eagles, extending a winless streak in the City of Brotherly Love which goes beyond the 1970 merger.

Furthermore, the 31 point loss was the worst of the Mike Tomlin era, and the biggest defeat since 1989.

There isn’t many good things to speak of, but we’re going to talk about this game anyway, and break down some of the main points that saw Pittsburgh fall to 2-1 on Sunday.

Okay, I’ll say this first: does this “Battle of Pennsylvania” thing really work for pro football?

I don’t think it does.

Regardless, the Eagles have had the Steelers number many times, including a dubious home record that Pittsburgh seeks to end this Sunday. We’ll talk about a boatload of statistics pertaining to this game, and decipher which team will leave Philadelphia 3-0.

The Steelers are off to a hot 2-0 start, but most of us have overlooked the stories that dominated the preseason: what happens when some of the injured/suspended players return?

In my opinion, the Steelers will be adding to an already potent offense and resurgent defense.

In this episode we’re going to talk about several players who are in line for a return this season, and how they can help the Steelers get even BETTER.

It wasn’t always pretty at times, but the Steelers beat the Bengals 24-16 on Sunday, extending their home record in opening games at Heinz Field, while also adding to Marvin Lewis’ terrible percentage against Pittsburgh.

We’re going to give the entire team a big hand for holding the lead throughout the game, and for each unit’s game plan working to fruition.
