Episode 13 is sponsored by SASSY10 an online program for ladies and busy mums who feel they have lost their way on the own fitness journey but remember how good they used to look and feel in their 20s. The program guarantees to #SculptAStrongerSexierYou in just 10 weeks and have you regain your SASSY!
I'm delighted to have international guest Jessica Lorion, an American TV, film, and theatre artist from NY. She’s also the host and producer of The Mamas in Training podcast recording episodes with mamas, for mamas about being and becoming a mom.
We talk openly about Jessica's own body trauma that has had an extreme effect on not just her daily life but also her desire to become a Mum. She openly shares the pain and suffering she experienced and through this, she sought to be her own best Doctor by firstly looking at her diet with curiosity and intent on what foods were triggering a flare-up, then adjusting and eliminating these to alleviate her symptoms. She shares her top 3 tips that helped the most in her journey to recovery.
Often we can overlook the most simple things we can change first when we encounter any illnesses, diseases prior to seeking advice and solutions from those in a white coat. Whilst the medical profession is much needed and extremely valued for the most obvious reasons. It is important for us too, to take responsibility for our own health and wellness by ensuring we do the simple things such as getting 7-9hrs sleep every night, drinking 3-4litres of water every day, eating our fruits, vegetables and reducing our intake of sugar and highly processed foods to improve the quality and longevity of our lives.
As always, I like to ask my guests some more questions on a personal level, so one of the questions I ask Jessica what her definition is of a great Mum. We then finish with the 15 question quick-fire round to see where she scores on the Planted Mindset podcast Leaderboard.
