PM Mark Carney heads to Europe on 1st foreign trip; Tories press Carney to disclose investments

Canada's new prime minister is on the way to Europe for his first foreign trip. Mark Carney is making quick stops in Paris and London before travelling to Iqaluit, Nunavut. A destination not on his itinerary is Washington, D.C., though President Donald Trump's trade war is expected to dominate discussions. As Canada's first unelected prime minister in four decades, Carney is facing pressure at home to call an election. As Carney focuses on shoring-up alliances abroad, the opposition here at home is demanding more transparency on Carney's financial dealings. The Conservative party says Carney should immediately disclose all of his personal investments. Carney has told Global News that he's placed his assets into a blind trust already.
