We look at the idea that marriage is honorable, and the bed is undefiled, along with the statement that God Himself will judge whoremongers and adulterers. We are comforted by the fact that the Lord will never leave us nor forsake us, and that He is our helper so that we don't have to fear what men shall do unto us. We talk about the blessed consolation that we have knowing that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

In today's study, we read that we have come to Mt. Sion, the city of the living God. We have come to the church of the firstborn, and of those who are written in Heaven. We are reminded that Jesus is the Mediator of the New Covenant, and then we are cautioned to not refuse Him. The reason for this is because our God is a consuming fire!

Today, we have a discussion concerning idolatry. We received a question asking us if we believe idolatry is an issue for the people of our day and time, or if it is something that we have gotten past. Some people question if ministers should teach and preach against idolatry, because it seems to be irrelevant now. The reasoning behind this thinking is that we don't see people openly bowing down to false gods and idols. Is this an obsolete topic, or is it one that still needs to be addressed?
We think some will be surprised by our conclusion!

In today's episode, we learn that God chastens those whom He loves. He does this that we might partake of His holiness. Chastening is grievous, but it yields righteousness, of which, if we will follow peace with all men, and Holiness, we shall see the Lord. We receive an admonition to not fail of God's grace, lest we become like Esau who was rejected of God.
We finish up by examining the life of Esau.

In today's episode we are reminded of the great cloud of witnesses by which we are compassed. We are to lay aside every weight and sin that besets us, so we can run this race that is set before us. We are to do this by looking unto Jesus, who is described as the Author and Finisher of our faith. The writer explains how Jesus accomplished what he did, while reminding us that we have not yet resisted unto blood. Neither should we despise the chastening of the Lord, for this is how we know we are children of God.

From Rahab to Gideon, from Samson to Samuel, from David to the prophets, we see the lives of these great people of faith making a difference in the world in which they lived. The amazing acts that they did, were only done because of their powerful trust, belief, and faith in God. This is the same God we serve today! He can still do for us whatever we have need of.
