In Podcast, 74 ,in addition to answering the usual 5 questions, I have received from investors in the last week, I begin reading from Chapter Five of my first investment book, “Income and Wealth from Self-Directed Investing. The chapter’s title is “Stocks and Other Investments”.

 It begins with the pluses and minuses of the  very basic investment tools:  a bank savings account progresses to bonds and mutual funds. Next week it will cover real estate, hedge funds, collectibles and more.

QUESTIONS:

1. Wouldn't you need to work for 50 years and deprive yourself of many pleasures to get enough money invested to live off a dividend income? Is making such a sacrifice worth it?

2. How can investors protect themselves from stock market crashes?

3. How would you go about learning how to invest?

4. Is it safe to invest in the stock market without a knowledge of technical analysis tools like candlestick charting and moving averages?
