"And then the kids, a lot of the students, particularly this year I think don't like the fact that the assessments are really require the students to take knowledge they know and make inferences based on that knowledge. And I hear things like it's not the same. Basically I guess they say what they study is not necessary on the test, which I don't think is entirely true."

"And I just found it, I just found it a pretty interesting, I don't know if instructive is the word, but the way that things were discussed I found really interesting. "I haven't gotten the rest of the video yet, but I think some of the implications you have to be like educated enough. And that doesn't mean formally but know enough, have the, have enough capacity, etc. I don't know if the skill sets is the right word. "And I wouldn't say totally comfortable, but she seems settled. And like working with this. This thing gives me a lot of practical experience working with statistics where I'm not heavy in the calculations, the pencil paper calculations that you would do like for high school class or an elementary, like an early college class. It's really like a practical side of it that I think adds a lot for me."

"I wouldn't say that are common sense necessarily, but sort of things you see every day that you have familiarity with and it kind of structures your thinking just with the vocab and the way they say things. So I'm starting in small chunks. What's interesting too is, you know, as I'm. I teach in high school, tutor everything from third grade through university, and it's cool seeing."

"Two students I'm tutoring in one program. It has a typed out version of like I guess what we're covering for the year in order. At the school that I work at and statistics, for example, I'm tutoring one student at a public school. So I have the outline for that. At the university that I tutor for, I have the outline for the elementary statistics course and then I have the outline for the PhD program statistics course that I'm helping with."

"All right, it is 6:50am I'm at the school before school starts and it's the beginning of the week. So I really should be using the time to put stuff together because I have to aggregate a lot of stuff from different classes into one and that takes some time and effort and solitude helps that. Quiet solitude definitely helps that. But. But sometimes you want to get things off your head because they'll be with you the entire day if you don't."
