Opinion

This started off great. The intro music slightly drowns out the voice over person. You introduce a very talented panel, do a great job of teasing what is coming up, and then things go sour. You've already introduced the panel in the intro, all we need now is their name and a hello to put the name with the voice. If we want to know what they are drinking, then make it, I'm Bob, whiskey sour, I'm Jane, seven-seven, I'm Bruce Vodka and Dew, etc. I listened to the first five minutes of a weather show and didn't hear a think about the weather. I realize you bill yourself as the most entertaining weather show and maybe that just means more booze, but if someone wanted to hear about the weather, they may not sit for five minutes waiting to get to something that ties in more closely to the name of your show. Also your show title didn't do much in terms of a "headline." What would make people want to click? Sure you have guests, but what revelations? What did they say that if you told your target audience would make them say, "I can't wait to hear that!" Put that as your title.

Opinion

I liked the audio quality and thought you did a good job of explaining your credentials without bragging. You did a good job of teasing what is coming up in the episode as well as a few well-placed callbacks to previous episodes. The only thing I would change is the music between the opening and the news. I would put the music under the talking and so there would be less time of just music for the sake of music. Normally I would think the news would be something to put at the end of the show due to its short shelf life, but your news really had me sucked in and I wanted to hear more.

Opinion

I give this two thumbs up for just being different than any other podcast I've heard in a while. It's not an interview show, it's a documentary of the host Doug Salamone pushing himself to achieve a goal. Is the audio a little boomy? Sure. Ever been to a gym? It's typical to see wall to wall mirrors. I loved the production of music and getting right to the story. This is set up as a seasonal podcast so if you want the easy listening experience check it out in iTunes (or set your app to listen to the oldest first so you can listen in order). If I had one tweak, I would say the voice over on the intro music was just ever so slightly low (I would bump it up a bit, I could hear and understand what you were saying, but I had to focus). I subscribed to the show.

Opinion

There is a lot I like about this show. The audio quality is good, the lack of cliches was SO APPRECIATED, and you get right to the point. The intro of the panel is where the wheels fell off. All we need is a name and a quick hello so we can put a name with the voice. The introduction of the topic could be a little tighter and add some zip to really tease the audience. The news segment was cool and had us knee deep into the woods. I would just move it back cause in six months that segment is going to be out of date.

Opinion

Your podcast is not on your website even though it's been around since December.

The audio was good, and you got right to the point, and I can hear the teacher in you coming out. However, for me (maybe because it's late and I'm tired) but I've just heard enough Entrepreneur shows to last me a lifetime, and for whatever reason when you got to the "quote of the week" and it just seemed so cliche. Also, you said we were talking about "Branding." Why not give me something with a little more zip. Something that makes me want to listen to more.

For me, the sirens and stuff at the beginning went on a bit longer than needed. I think we all know fire trucks have sirens, and you could bring in the "Welcome to the Fire Rescue Show" voice over earlier. Your biggest item that needs to be fixed are your plosives. You need a http://amzn.to/2G5MmbC (pop filter). These can be purchased for around $20 and go between you and the microphone. Also, you want the microphone pointing at the corner of your mouth (so you're somewhat talking across it). If you have the budget have someone buy a domain name (see http://www.coolerwebsites.com (www.coolerwebsites.com)) and you can forward it to your .wordpress website which will give you a little more professional looking operation.

Opinion

This show starts off great. You let me know what the show is about, what the episodes is about. the jingle is short and to the point (again letting me know what the show is about), but the audio quality takes a dive (the start was awesome). It sounds like you applied too much noise reduction on the guest to (for me) make for concentrate on what he was saying. I'm not sure if this is me listening through "podcaster ears" (we are a bit pickier than the typical listener) but for me, it was distracting.

Everything else was fine, you got right to the interview and got the interview right into a good spot of talking teaching strategies, but for me the audio was distracting. I realize its tough when you have no control over the guest and what microphone they use etc. This is where a too like http://www.schoolofpodcasting.com/ringr (Ringr )comes into play

The theme song is HORRIBLE. It's confusing and way too long. I would tune out before the song was done. Its filled with inside jokes that NOBODY is going to get. Under normal circumstances, I would not make it through the intro.

Then you get into the time change and you're tired. There is a somewhat entertaining story about not going to the gym.

The one co-host seemed to be really into God. Fir there was, "Praise God for Caffeine." Then when the alarm went off there was a "That is from the Lord (about the alarm clock)? " I am a Christian and it was somewhat a weird first impression to thank God for the Alarm clock. It just made for an interesting first impression.

The audio quality was OK.

I would give people an idea of what the show was about (the intro talks about what it's not). Then give people an idea what you plan on talking about in the episode.

Opinion

This wasn't as bad as I thought. They are 35ish episodes in, and they were being a bit snarky in a Facebook group today and I decided to take a peak at their show.

Pros:

You get right to the interview once you are on the show, and you have good chemistry (most married people do)

Cons:

Your Audio quality is about a 6.5 out of ten and you could boost it super easy. First of all as you are watching a DVD you can easily run the sound out of the DVD player into a computer with a few cables instead of recording the audio off the TV (please note this may not be legal). Then you have two people sharing one mic. Get an Audio Technica ATR2100 for both people and your audio will improve immensely without spending thousands of dollars.
