    My Opinion

The audio sounded good, and the intro let you know exactly what you were getting into. Then you introduced your guest without telling us why he was on the show. You explained after you introduced him. Usually, you explain why someone is on the show, and the introduction ends with their name.

Unfortunately, your guest decided to be interviewed in what appears to be the bathroom or a large cave. If this happens, and you are using skype, try having them install skype as an app on their phone. You will get less echo, and they can connect via wi-fi.

I noticed midway through the part we listened to where you audio got louder and louder to the point where I almost reached for the volume knob (which is bad, you want people to press start and just listen, not ride the volume knob).

In the end, the guest somewhat started the interview in a direction. Was it the direciton you wanted? We're not sure. You started y asking asked a very open ended, "Tell us about your background" guestion. Give him a smaller target. Help him get to the content your audience wants to hear, "How did you get into productivity coaching?"

    BONUS

I thought your show notes looked amazing and would be a great resource for the podcast.

  • Seeking Balance A Personal Journey

On her website it states, "By sharing my stories about taking control of my inner balance, I hope to inspire and entertain the listener (not intended as advise). " You can find the show at www.vtblance.com

I love that you get right to the point. You sounded like you were talking to me (until you started reading to me...). You can hear me asking questions, and you answered them every time.

You have an audio problem called "A ground loop" (it creates a high pitch whine). It may be my podcaster ears, but once I heard it I could not "unhear " it.

You sound like you have a good story, but I would see if there is something more specific you can get to really grab people coming out of the gate emotionally and then reveal the details of that instance.

    BONUS OPINION

You're using squarespace as a media host, be sure to check that they are going to be set when Apple unveils iOs 11 which has additional fields (one of which is episode numbers which you can quit putting in your title, or at least move them to the end). My preferred media host is Libsyn.com (use the coupon code sopfree to get a free month)

  • CADORS Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reporting System - Canada

The iTunes description reads, "Discussion of Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reporting System (CADORS) entries."

The audio quality was fine. I thought the guest sounded like he was reading his responses.

You have some great stories, and the show started off with the bland facts about the pavement type. I would give a tease about the stories coming up and the topics (you did announce the topics later).

As a bonus tip, I would want to work the word "Pilot" or something that people may be searching for (Canadian Pilot?) as I'm not sure how many people are searchign for CANDORS (but then again, I'm in the USA, so feel free to ignore)

  • The Masquerade

According to their website, the show is, "A Podcast about starting a Podcast Network... with $85 and a Mask" We listened to an episode called the Call to Action.

    My Opinion

The audio quality was good, and I loved the opening lines and explained the story I would be listening to.

The name "I am Bumble" leads me to think of Bees or the monster on Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Neither of these thoughts leads me to lean toward integrity. If you don't want to you use your real name, go with something like "Doug, or "Steve" instead of Bumble. There may be more to the story that was revealed in episodes 1-6, but at episode 7 I was thinking, "Really?"

I understand you have a very tight budget, but your media host provides a very basic website, you could use that until your real website is ready. http://masquerade.libsyn.com. Be sure to go to settings > Edit Show Settings and update the info (and upgrade to the new podcast page, it's much better looking)

The show started off great then spent a fair amount convincing me sidekicks or partners are good. I personally agree with this statement and was ready for the next topic. The next topic was how Bumble was a dreamer, and how running a business takes hard work. (again, is someone arguing these points?)

The music (for me) seemed distracting. It seemed like it was more cinematic, or dramatic. The delivery was slow and sounded (very much) like he was reading (not a deal breaker, but a little more inflection might help, and for me, I need a quicker pace).

So after five minutes, I heard sidekicks are good, and Bumble is a dreamer and starting a business is hard. I wanted to hear the story of starting a network with $85, and at the pace we were at, I didn't want to see if we ever were going to get there.

In the end, I must not be the target audience for this show, as it didn't resonate with me.

  • Armed Lutheran Radio

Exploring the intersection of faith in Christ with our Second Amendment rights. Offering commentary, news, and reviews. Featuring weekly tips from trainers, master class shooters, and outdoorsmen (and women) plus interviews with Lutheran clergy and other pro-gun voices.

    Check them out at http://www.armedlutheran.us/

    Opinion

I loved the intro and the tone it set. The audio quality was good. I would shorten up some of the musi transitions, and you have somewhat of a double introduction (law, gospel, and Guns, as well as Faith, Firearms, and Freedom).

I thought the advertisement was very well done, but I wasn't sure if the NRA spot was the best call (unless this is kind of a "Pledge of Allegiance" kind of situation - I am not a gun person (neither pro or con). I guess you had me excited about the coming content, and I wasn't aware when it was showing up.

I thought the story of being at the event was a nice way of showing you are the real deal without being overly bragging.

In the end, I was waiting for the meat and potatoes, and it may be that I was getting them, and didn't know it.

Do you love movies? We do! We are Brad and Justin, The Cinema Guys. We love nothing more than watching movies, especially at the theater. Join us, and our many guests, as we share our love of the big screen (and the small). Listen along as we talk plot, characters, action, and effects. We'll give retro recommendations and talk trailers! You never know there might even be a few plot twists along the way. Thanks for checking out The Cinema Guys!

Their website is http://134ink.com or find them in iTunes

    My Opinion

For multiple people in the same room the audio was good. I would

Announce yourselves, "I'm Brad, and I'm Justin .. so we can place the voice with the name and start drawing the theater of the mind.

You seem to know where you are going, so announce it to people. Instead of "Summer Movies" get specific. We are looking at King Arthur, Snatched, Transformers, etc..."
Be careful of tangents in the first part of a show. Have them, enjoy them, then edit them out of the finished podcast.
With a multiple person crew maybe know what points each person wants to make so you avoid a bunch of "me too" (I'm just adding this idea, I'm not saying you did that).

  • This is The Conversation

According to their listing, "A podcast that recaps the various news and noteworthy current event topics discussed through social media and at ThisIsTheConversation.com"

My first impression is where in the heck is your iTunes button?

In listening to the show five days after it was released, the host assumed everyone was listening on the day it was released, and I got a little confused. The first part of the show went on quite a bit before getting to the intro. Then went into a pitch where you can get paid for taking surveys (personal opinion, if there is no product, YOU ARE THE PRODUCT). I liked their honest approach of not making you rich.

I liked the idea of a bit more casual delivery of the news without being the Daily Show, but almost felt I wanted to bit more of the straight facts first, and then fill in any other details.

I would move the advertisement to the middle (or have a quick 15-second spot) and get to the top news stories and give the people what they tuned in for.

  • In the News Podcast With Doug Salamone

Today I look at In the News Podcast With Doug Salamone. Jere os the description in "iTunes Doug Salamone - News Analyst focusing on the philosophy of today's headlines, current events, technologies, health, and societal issues."

The website is www.insidethenewspodcast.com or see it in iTunes

    As this website states:

NEWS YOU MAY HAVE MISSED OR REALLY DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT, BUT WANT TO HEAR ANYWAYS.

If I don't give a crap about it, why would I want to hear about it? So I get it after listening to the episode, you are poking fun at stupid stories. With this in mind, you have to have something entertaining to say about the crap story or you still have crap content.

If you're covering multiple stories, make sure the most entertaining is up front.

I liked the audio quality and you got to the content in decent time. Doug definitely brings energy to the microphone.

  • History Untold

A podcast telling the stories about the most fascinating and sometimes chilling events in history.Check it out at http://www.historyuntoldpodcast.comhistoryuntoldpodcast.com

    My Opinion

Good audio quality, and an interesting take on history. The podcast mixed in clips from other media (might want to check on the legality of that) and the only thing I saw as a mistake was having duplicate content back to back.

The voice on the podcast was reading, but it wasn't horrible, and with a podcast like this (basically a news story) you can get away with that.

    My Opinion

I liked the intro, and the audio quality was really good and warm.

It's your choice, asking people to vote up front means it's heard by more people. However, as a first impression then followed by an advertisement, left me impatient trying to find out what this awesome product was. Thankfully you said "Reed Case" or I would've had to wait even longer for the answer.

As someone who knows someone who plays clarinet, I would recommend they listen to the show.
