Opinion:
Your audio levels are all over the place. Your audio quality was average (but I've heard worse). The intro had some energy, but the introductions seemed a bit forced. I liked that you had names to go with the voices, but do we really need to introduce people like it's a boxing match?
I love that you are getting your audience's input, but I'm not sure its something I would start the show off with, and instead move it to the end. This may push people to listen to the end to see if their comment made it into the show. I would instead tell people what you're going to be talking about today so they can make an informed decision on if they want to listen or not.
I can't say if I like the content or not as three minutes in, you hadn't got to it yet.

My Opinion
Their audio is distorted, their content is non-existant except for a never ending commercial to buy t-shirts featuring people I've never heard of. I was ready for some tin foil hat conspiracies, but they decided to waste my time

As they profess that the new is boring celebrity stuff, it's going to be up to the hosts to keep it interesting. Here is what I liked:
Short intro and they let you know what you're getting into.
If I could add one piece of icing on this cake it would be to go to Coolerwebsites.com and order a domain and point it at your libsyn page

Opinion
The show starts off with a call for money. Not a great first impression. Why am I giving you money? Because you're the only food radio station? Have you heard of podcasting? Nobody (maybe 3% of your audience) listens live anymore.
Your tip of the week was read poorly. I expected you to be excited and just tell me the tip I want a conversation. I don't want to be read to unless you can make it sound like you're not reading.
Your audio was listenable but could be cleaned up with some post processing to take out some of the hum of the phone (and it wouldn't take long).
Your website was very messy to me, and it looked like I had a problem with my chrome browser with icons scattered all over the place.
I understand that you want to get the guest warmed up, but you can cut a lot of the chit chat out of the finished interview. I don't care where she lived (is it relevant to her story) and I don't care where you live (I don't think that is relevant to her story).
You have a very unique voice, and it was pleasant. It was a bit stiff at times (but again your were reading).

Opinion
The audio on this seemed almost not bad, but it was a little shaky, and the first few questions had nothing to do with podcasting. I don't care where the guests lives, or where your father lives. We are here to talk strategies and podcasting. This doesn't mean you don't have "chit-chat" to warm up the guest, it just means you edit it out. I thought you guest sounded better than you did. You have a bit of room noise (for the record so do I). I'm just letting you know doing a podcast about podcasting, people will be brutal about your audio. Welcome to the party.
For the record, this is episode three, and maybe you're new to this.

According to their website, "Sean Skypes with very interesting people in all different walks of life to learn new things. Sideshow performers, morticians, B-Movie stars, sex workers, UFO religions, comedians, feminist porn, E-humans... nudist comedians... you get the picture
I was amazed at this picture of someone letting racoons crawl all over them
Opinion
The intro kind of dragged on a bit (meaning the talking could've started sooner). Once the voice over came in, we were treated to more music. You get what you are promised. His guest was some very strange habits. He did an interesting intro, although I would've preferred a less "read" intro and a more conversational intro.
The beginning of the interview should've been cut. This is super low hanging fruit, and why it was left in boggles my mind. He even at one point says, "Welcome to the show" that is where the interview should've started. From there he did a good job of steering the interview straight to the interesting stories.
The audio quality was good,

The description of this book in iTunes I think is longer than the actual book.
It's a book written in the 1920's and I gave it a shot and was greeted with a pretty bad noise problem in the podcast. Based on their blogspot website referenced in their podcast, maybe a good microphone is not in the budget.
Opinion
For me, I'm not their target audience and would call his unlistenable.

Storytelling aficionado and inquisitive host Eugene Mirman (Bob’s Burgers) sits down with special comedian guests and pauses their true, entertaining, and personal stories to get the funny details they might have left out
My Opinion
Well, this is done by professionals. The audio sounds great. The production is great. He gets to the interview quickly, and they start if off with a nice tease.

My Opinion
There is no false advertising here (more on advertising in a sec), but you are told you will get Bodybuilders from the past and you do. You did a great job of explaining why your guest was on the show, and I was excited to hear from him and what he had to say.
Then you started to tell me what he was going to say. In theory, I'm waiting for him to say it. Your goal is to explain why he's here and why he is a great guest (and you did that). Due to another circumstance, you need to shorten up the intro to all the things that will get your audience excited (I don't think we care where he lived).
Then there was a commercial. You hit the bullet points, and got in and got out. Then there was the second commercial. This one you use - great. Talk to me about it instead of reading bullet points. Then there was a THIRD commercial, and for me, that's too many.
The other elephant in the room is your audio quality is muffled and filled with room noise (I would guess a blue Yeti is involved). You can get a better microphone like the Audio Technica ATR2100 for less than $100 (See this Kit)

On their website (www.alienfamiliar.com), it states, "A podcast about tabletop roleplaying games" which makes more sense than the one in iTunes.
They put up an episode about Star Wars that makes you feel like you walked into the middle of a really bad movie.
I don't normally do this but as the description said this was an old episode, I listened to the episode before it. It still had audio issues (this sounds like a bunch of friends having fun, and if that is the goal, then go have fun, and feel free to flip me off). The birds in the back were a little distracting, and it would be nice if everyone had a microphone, but you do what you can with what you got.
I'm not sure why they released such a poor example of their show. A bit mind-boggling.
