Jimmy and Annette want to help make faith real for the rest of us by sharing stories and experiences from 30 years in ministry together as a blended family living up in a down world. Come along for the ride and just maybe you’ll laugh, cry, relate, and learn something in the process

What I Liked About This EpisodeThe audio sounded great, and you two (shocking) have good chemistry. I loved the second half of the show when you got into a decent story, and it got a little more faith-related. It got me to think. If you can make me think, I'm your friend for life.
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingWhile the intro song is fun, I think you need to remind people this is about sharing stories of faith. There was a TON of talk about food before we got to anything faith-based. All I would do is swap this out. Start with the faith-related story, and then (for the super fans) do more of the activity report. I liked the report about Adam Curry's birthday because I know and grew up with Adam. I'm not sure other people would.
It was 20 minutes in when we got to a good, "I wonder what is going to happen next?" moment which led to a discussion of faith, forgiveness, and something I could apply to my life.

What I Liked About This EpisodeYou put some thought into the soundscaping. I like the intro as I new what I was getting into.
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingOnce your first intro was done, you then provided a 2-minute table of contents. Nobody highlights the table of contents in a book. You followed this by providing the biography of a stranger. I had tuned in for stories that happened at work. I was quite a way into the episode, and you lost me before we got there.

What I Liked About This EpisodeI liked that it was not your typical content. It was information I'd never heard, so in that way, it sounds unique to someone from the US
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingYour audio has some strange issues. None of your music fades out. You have abrupt starts. I would add all the housekeeping (Hey, we're on YouTube) to the end where the super listeners are.
You could add a little inflection to your voice and turn off whatever is making the noise in the background.

What I Liked About This EpisodeThe intro sounded Amazing, and I thought the description in the audio was better than the one in Apple.
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe part of the intro where you are naming the jobs of the guests was not needed in my book. Any kind of music fading was pretty harsh in both cases, and you read her very long LinkedIn Bio. I would much rather hear the part of her bio around today's subject and why the host is excited to have her.
You then asked questions that delivered no value to my life. You got me excited to talk about controversial topics, and instead, I'm getting into the guest's story. People don't care (it sounds harsh, but it's true) about someone until they give them a reason to care. Get to the topic; then, AFTER they deliver VALUE, you can get into their story.

What I Liked About This EpisodeYou launched and that is more than most people. You have a domain that is easy to remember and fits in with your brand.
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingI would not use Godaddy website builder. I like Podpage for podcasts. You can try podpage at www.trypodpage.com and learn podpage for free at www.learnpodpage.com
The music on the introduction is a little high. The audio quality is about a 2 on a scale from one to ten. This is due to background noise that was then attempted to be dampened by an over aggressive noise gate which actually ends up drawing more attention to the sound of the audio.
You are reading a script, and while some will tolerate that, I would rather hear someone just talk to me like I'm sitting across the desk. Podcasts are a time-shifted conversation with your audience.
To fix the audio, I would get something like a Samson Q2U or an AT 2100X and have that about three finger widths from your mouth (with a windscreen on it) see https://youtu.be/faTh-FR_1p8
Then turn off whatever is making the noise and record at a level between -6 and -12.

What I Liked About This EpisodeYou are full in on your subject, and I can hear your passion
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingYou never let me know what the episode was going to be about, and I have no idea besides "She was a friend of mine" in college who your guest is.
Your guest's audio was about a 7 out of 10. Not horrible - not great.
Your description seems to repeat the benefits.

Home of the WHAT’S YER WEIRD STORY? podcast, your weekly dose of true life weird &hard to explain experiences!
Website: https://whatsyerweirdstory.com/
What I Liked About This EpisodeYou got to the content quickly. Your intro explained what the show was about.
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingYour website has no about, contact, or follow/subscribe.
You are hosting on your website (you need a media host)
Your artwork is not meeting Apple's specs.
Your audio quality has WAY too much noise in the background, and while this is a conversation, a little prep so you know where you are going could help.
You also assumed everyone had seen the news. Do a quick recap (you did this somewhat) and then get into the discussion.

Award-winning podcast from the QI offices in which the writers of the hit BBC show discuss the best things they've found out this week.
Website: https://www.nosuchthingasafish.com/
What I Liked About This EpisodeThe intro explains what the show is and they get right to the content. The show was funny, and it made me laugh.
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe one person has an every-so-slight plosive and I have no idea what QI means. The intro had some weird voices, but it only lasted a few seconds.
