    Description

What I Liked About This Episode

I loved that they took two seconds to introduce each other. They jump right into the book, and Peter has great audio. It also shows this isn't just two people talking about a book, so instantly, this show is doing something different. They both did a good of referring to each other by their name. I loved the sarcasm.

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

Michael's audio needs work. Peter sounding great makes Michael's audio sound worse. My guess is he is using a Blue Yeti on his desk too far away from him. Check out my podcast equipment guide.

The intro music could use a voice-over that explains what the SHOW is, as they've done a good job of getting right to the book.

What I Liked About This Episode

Good production, and you let me know what the show and the episode were about. I felt confident I was going to have a takeaway by the end of the episode.

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

You and your guest sounded very similar to me. I would've panned your slightly left and the guest's slightly right to help people ID who is saying what.

Your website address in the podcast app shows your simplcast episode. You have a website, so go into simplecast and update your show's information to point at the correct website.

I thought it odd that your first question seemed like a quiz for your guest. Why not just quote the person you wanted to remember and ask the question? Also, did we need the history of the pirate studio?

Your description needs work. You assume your audience (and I may not be in that group) knows your references. We help (your audience) do (what they do) so they can (benefit). The phrase that caught my eye was storytelling. Also no app will make a link in your description clickable. I haven't heard a word from you; why are you pitching me? Put the link in the episode description.

What I Liked About This Episode

The co-hosts have great chemistry, and I love the idea of the show.

You started off with some nice theater of the mind and then got sidetracked.

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

There is an annoying buzz in the background that once noticed can't be unheard.

You seem to repeat yourself. As a new audience member, I understood the concept of Uchoose, and was waiting for the book.

If you want to catch up and share teeth stories do it AFTER you do the start part. People LOVE stories, but they don't want to wait 10 minutes for them.

These are easy fixes. Your artwork is a bit hard to read. I would remove your names and make the UCHOOSE PODCAS even bigger. Let your description describe the show.

What I Liked About This Episode

I liked that you were a former negative thinker, and now you're not. Also, when you talk about your subject, I can hear you "light up."

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

Your audio levels are in real need of leveling out. Also, you are pretty boomy. Get closer to the microphone. If you're using a Blu Yeti, be sure to see my video about using it properly. Also, you seemed to start the show multiple times. Introduce why YOU are happy the guest is on. We don't need their full Linkedin Bio. We trust that you will bring on good guests.

Being 30 is not as glamorous as the movie “13 going on 30” would have you believe. We are in our prime years, don’t have our shit together & have no idea what the F we are doing. Let’s talk about it!

    Website: https://thirtyflirtypodcast.podbean.com/

What I Liked About This Episode

You pressed record and put yourself out there and many people don't.

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

The audio needs to be better (lots of room noise), and let people know what the show is about and what the episode is about. The introductions don't need to be long, only to understand who is who and what they sound like. (Do I need to know your Canadian?).

I don't care that you curse, but you use them so that they lose their power.

I would also go to www.coolerwebsites.com and buy a domain instead of using the podbean domain. You could point the domain at your podbean website or use something like Podpage.

    Description

Unprepared for perimenopause? (Same!) Felt misunderstood or alone during it all? (Yup.) Feel too young for this? (Me, too!) So I'm on a quest with my friends (and my aloof vagina) to understand what other "surprises" to expect AND to get a handle on all this midlife stuff, from sex & relationships to the weird stuff happening to our bodies. (The stuff nobody wants to talk about.) Warning: Like to laugh and sometimes pee your pants when you do? This podcast was designed to serve you. Grab leakage protection & join us for some fun.

What I Liked About This Episode

I loved the description and the humor. I love that you are talking about things that nobody has the courage to talk about.

I thought you did well introducing the show and the episode.

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

While the host sounded great, the guest sounded noticeably "boomy," like they were in a glass bowl or bathroom. Not a ton, but enough for me to notice (and that may be me listening through the ears of a podcaster). Acon digital has a plugin to reduce that.

I would also get something like Podpage and get your own website going so you can build up your SEO and quit sending traffic to buzzsprout (and keep it for yourself).

What I Liked About This Episode

The commentary on the wrestling was great with showing pros and cons. This isn't just a fanboy show. The audio that was good, was good, and the audio that was bad was distractingly bad (but easy to fix).

I like that you were editing the show. It shows you care (more about that in a second).

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

The introduction of the co-hosts had a long tangent. All we need to do is connect the name with a voice. Then put any "what's up with you" at the show's end. People tuned in to talk about wrestling, not baseball.

The sign of a good edit is you can't tell it is edited. This was not the case. Your edits were obvious and made me scratch my head (as, in one case, you could've started later and skipped the whole stammering part).

The person from the UK is way too far away from the microphone and probably using a Blue Yeti microphone (See video on how to use it properly).

Also, see https://podcast.adobe.com/enhance Currently this is free. It cleans up "boomy" audio.

If you are a listener of this show and found value, consider buying me a coffee.

What I Liked About This Episode

The audio was good and you got right to the story.

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

It is VERY obvious you are reading, and you need some more inflection. I would also read the book "Storyworthy" by Matthew Dicks. You need to get your audience asking, "I wonder what is going to happen next?" or you want them to care about the characters in this episode. I didn't care, and I'm not sure why. I was being educated, but you didn't pull on my emotions at all.

You also need some words on your website if you want to rank better.

What I Liked About This Episode

The openness to share your thoughts and somewhat disagree with the current narrative that "All you do is (some routine, etc) and you will be successful. This leads to a stressful morning which is NOT a good way to start the day.

I also loved that Drew could feel that the audience might be noticing they were somewhat off topic (even though Lacey this at the top of the show).

You got right to the point, and I loved the conversation. At 3:40 in, I could say I would listen to the rest of this episode.

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

You are using Kajabi for your podcast. While a powerful marketing tool, they have proven a few times that they don't know what they are doing in podcasting.

Your audio (for my ears) seemed a little thing (headset mics?) as there was just NO bass. Not a deal breaker, but much like the song "When Doves Cry" by Prince there is no bass.

What I Liked About This Episode

I give you credit for pressing record when many people never do.

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing

Your description used a lot of "insider terms" that I may understand after I listen to the show, but as someone who had not, I found it confusing.

Your audio quality has MAJOR volume issues.

You have a lot of background noise where I hear papers rustling, lots of breathing.

I had no idea what you were talking about until you explained that these people were Gods. Maybe add some narration so people can understand what we are walking into.

I was confused for the episode.
