podcast – TrackCastic

Hello!

As Chris is training for the upcoming London Marathon, we've got another marathon pod for you!

The first hour of the pod is our review of a rather fun World Indoor Championships from Nanjing, where Amber Anning and Jeremiah Azu become world champions for GB!

We then heavily discuss what worked and what didn't work at the opening Grand Slam Track weekend. Michael Johnson is looking for feedback and we've got plenty! Alicia pops in to give her thoughts on it all too.

Plus, there's the Mixed 4x100 news, a World Relays preview and an update on how well Sprint performed on Netflix!

Should be long enough to get you marathon runners round your final few tapering runs!

March Madness is upon us! We're still getting our breath back from the fantastic European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn last weekend, but there's a World Indoor Championships in Nanjing this weekend!

Carol, Ceri & Chris are here to chat through all the medals won in the Netherlands (mostly by the Dutch team), including some impressive Irish performances and a decent showing from the British #representatives

Plus, we'll quickly whizz through all the events ahead of Nonjing, sorry, Nanjing which is FINALLY happening after a FIVE year delay.

Enjoy another fantastic weekend of championship athletics!

We're back for 2025! And we have to start the year with our annual predictions special!

Obviously we had to make sure that Dave would be on this episode, mainly to check if he still thinks that Jenna Prandini will become world champion this year.

We've all picked some prediction for what will happen during the indoor season, outdoor season and the World Championships in Tokyo. Some of these predictions are a bit out there!

Plus, we'll update some of the latest coaching changes, London Marathon announcements and talk through the year ahead.

Feel free to leave a comment with any of your own predictions!

Merry Christmas track fans! It's time for the annual TrackCastic Christmas Special, where we'll dish out some rather silly awards from the 2024 season.

With Dave too busy working (at the North Pole?) to make this recording, we needed someone with an equally brilliant memory of the season to help us remember what happened in 2024. Enter our new contributor...ChatGPT!

Yep, we've replaced Dave with Artificial Intelligence, but will it even come close to matching his Actual Intelligence? (Spoiler Alert - no, it won't)

So grab your hot chocolate, snuggle up by the fireplace and listen to our festive special from 2024!

See you in 2025!

PS - This was actually written by a human.

Hello! We have a special guest joining us on the pod for this episode, Eurosport's lead athletics presenter Radzi Chinyanganya!

Radzi is here to help us understand how we broadcast a complex sport like Athletics and where we think the sport could improve going forward. We also have a deep dive on Sprint season 2, chat Grand Slam Track and basically have a good old rant!

Plus there's all the coaching change gossip and the exciting news of our nomination at the Sport Podcast Awards! So get voting NOW :D

There are no post-Paris blues (da ba dee) in our Trifle 65 episode!

A real mis(h)-mas(h) of a pod for our 65th ep, covering the last few Diamond League events of the season, the World Juniors and the Paralympic Games.

Plus, we'll have a news round up, road race chat and all the off season gossip! Who got married? Who retired? Is Rihanna a secret athletico?

We also want to hear from you! Our next podcast will be assessing the current state of Athletics and what the future holds. So please get in touch with any thoughts, opinions and suggestions and we'll read them out next time!

Happy listening!

Boy oh boy, do we have a bumper edition of TrackCastic for you!

Actual legend CARL LEWIS is on the pod, along with his sprint protege Louie Hinchliffe. Plus, we have special guest Alicia (aka @LissOnTrack) joining us!

We've just about recovered from the Paris Diamond League, Alicia was in the stadium to witness 2x World Records and a super-fast men's 800m.

Jamie & Chris reflect on their freezing cold weekend in Manchester at the British Championships, with all the drama of false starts and falls!

There's also a look back at the US Olympic Trials and Alicia brings us all the news from the Jamaican Olympic Trials too.

You'll also hear from Paris-bound Georgia Bell and a very relieved Alistair Chalmers.

Don't say we don't spoil you!

Enjoy!
