Hershall, we had several new things happen today while the deacon and the song leader was absent.  First of all, we recorded in Studio 7. It was an (h)onor to be in a new plush studio with two, that's correct, TWO new guests. My two eldest offspring (big word meaning children) agreed to come on the show. My second-born son, Brooks, even brought a scripture to interpret (big word meaning explain which is what I'm doing right now) for us. We had a couple corny knee slappers  and then ended up by getting their perspectives of being in the home of a preacher. Hershall, we here we are at episode 61 or 62 since we had a once a month episode last week, but who’s counting…. We had a selfie taken on air which is a first here on the show. The deacon used the Bible as a weapon against the (h)umble podereator. I survived all the criticism and stay in the service til the end.  Toward the end we talked about the importance of a daily encounter with the Lord God. It got rather challenging. Hershall, You need to fasten your proverbial seatbelt today.... Virtual church went a little long. You got a cold call from us and after that, we had a review that got the show clogged up so bad that we felt like we were at a virtual word-salad smorgasbord (big word meaning a buffet of variety). Hersh, I've been diagnosed by a listener with misophonia. It is a treatable condition so don't get worried. We had a great discussion on the show today and even broke the news to the world that we're on Instagram @podn_me. We also diffused the threat of losing a listener on Instagram… he was threatening to never listen to another show until he was invited on…. We talked about our recent kayaking adventure on Crooked Creek in Arkansas where you had to practice your SWR skills. (Swift Water Rescue)  T'was a story of heroic (big word alert) moments where you our one listener, Hersh, became the saving arms to our very own Deacon Dustin. We've. made such a difference in your life and now you saved one of our own! We also let you bring the Bible story to us today. There was some scrutiny (another big word) in the feedback but we can handle the criticism.... Hello Hershall, For our once a month series, we have my father, Rev. Lendell Birdsong on the podcast. He has been a great influence on my life and he is a man of honor and integrity. He and my mother have quite a  story of pain & struggle during their early years of marriage. But, thanks to their willingness to surrender to the Lord, their lives have been blessed and they have used their story to help many. He gives us a glimpse of how God used financial difficulties along with many other things to get him to the point of total surrender to God. He is a man that has given God all of the glory for His helping hand in his life! Enjoy this month's interview with my dad!
