When Wanda’s daughter, Shanna Harper, didn’t make the cheer squad at Alice Johnson Junior High in 1989, Wanda was seething with anger. The socialite stage mom then took steps to make certain that Shanna would be on the cheer team the following year. The steps she took, however, would turn many peoples’ lives upside down. The subsequent trial outcome wasn’t what anyone expected. This is the bizarre tale of an overzealous Texas socialite who’d carefully planned out her life and image, and nobody was going to get in the way of that …even if it meant murder.
