Pop Queers

This week it is the battle of the mamas when real world celebrity Mama Alto takes on Joys own mama bear Mama Mish.

Who knows their obscure news and why is there a round called Hello Kitty Kitty Kitty?

All this plus a truly dubious prize.

Dee Mason, Mama Mish, Mama Alto, Gay Gaily

A gracious presentation of the prize – but who is taking it home?

The moustachioed ant-bodied scratcher thing [maybe?]

Gail and Dee host another battle of wits, this time with ABC Melbourne broadcaster and Rockwiz alum Brian Nankervis. Brian’s going to be the MC of the 12th Annual Heart of St Kilda concert at the Palais Theatre 23 October. He bravely takes on not just one, not just two, but three Joy-sonalities – Toby Halligan (from The Informer), Bec Dahl (from Chicks Talking Footy) and Anna Murphy (from The Murphys).

Real world person, artist and actor Margot Tanjutco takes on Joy-sonality Luke Mitchell in this week’s contest for a mediocre prize. Margot is appearing in what is probably the world’s only musical about sister wives, the upcoming Polygamy, Polygayou at the Melbourne Fringe. Luke hosts Checkpoint and Monday breakky on JOY.

Riley Nottingham and Joy-sonality Richard Eric join D&G this week to test themselves in the Dealodrome, ah, er, Studio Three! Riley’s performing at Fringe this year in Super Elusive Condom, a new conceptual musical and Richard is up to old tricks producing his very excellent Into the Groove podcast!

Gail, Riley, Richard and Dee with an amazing prize.

Said prize, up close and personal. Yes, that is a snowglobe of sorts on top.

Episode two is up and raring at the gate. Join Dee Mason and Gay Gaily Davidson as they quiz JOY 94.9 alum and former Big Brother winner Benjamin Norris and JOY host of 6 at 6, Ti Butler.

And our exciting prize flanked by our lovely squeakers.

The first season of the all new PopQueers is off and running.

Join Host, Dee Mason and PopQueers’ official adjudicator Gay Gaily Davidson as they quiz UNDEFEATED pop queers contestants: Comedian and AFL Banner Man Danny McGinlay and Joy’s own Susannah “Motty” Mott from Chicks talking footy.
