The Frailty Unit is part of the service offered by the Proactive care for Older People undergoing Surgery (POPS) team at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospital. Could something like this work outside of the context of the UK's National Health Service? What are the advantages of being able to safely discharge frail patients who may instead have ended up back in the hospital system?
