Brittny is joined by Natalie Crandall to discuss trusting in the process and how her competitive dance background and a dark night of the soul moment led to an unexpected spiritual expansion of herself.
Natalie has always been a mover & shaker…literally. She started dancing at the age of 3 and by 6 years old she was an active competitor in ballroom dance. She pursued a career in competitive ballroom dancing for over 20 years obtaining multiple championship titles and 3 National Professional Titles. But after a synchronistic detour from the universe, Natalie retired from competitive dancing and continued her journey as an instructor. Natalie is a certified spin instructor, yoga instructor, ballroom dance coach, and most recently a guide for Kinrgy - a modality created by Julianne Hough.
After years of relentless training as a competitive dancer Natalie now focuses on healing her body, mind and soul through deep connection to breath & movement. She thrives on community and is on a mission to help others find the joy in connecting back to their most authentic selves.
Brittny and Natalie discuss:
- Her “dark night of the soul” moment
- How she went from breakdown to breakthrough
- Listening to her inner critic versus following intuition and feeling
- Kinergy, dance, yoga and other movement practices
- The breadcrumbs that have helped her to surrender to the process
- Her personal daily practices that led to ah-ha moments
- Connecting to the energy within the body and letting out trapped energy
- Inner-parenting, allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and letting go of control
