She had been diligently working on her personal healing when she felt that the next crucial step was to begin working with me, seeking both guidance and accountability. Her grand plan? To launch her podcast, Dear Sunny.

While grief and joy might appear contradictory, they often coexist, with joy weaving its way into our lives as we navigate through grief. In today’s episode, we explore the often-overlooked concept of encountering joy amidst grief.
I recount my recent journey through grief and how my approach has evolved compared to how I handled similar experiences in my past. The work I have done in understanding and caring for my nervous system has profoundly influenced my ability to embrace moments of joy during mourning, fostering a deeper appreciation for each emotion’s significance in my life.
I’m eager to share the lessons I’ve learned, so I invite you to listen to this episode where we’ll explore:
If you are struggling, I want you to know that I’m here, holding space for you. Please reach out if you need help. Remember, seeking support is not a display of weakness, but a testament to your resilience and strength.

As the holidays approach, consumption is on the rise. From indulging in holiday food and drink to purchasing beyond our budgets to find that perfect gift, overconsumption has become the norm. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
What if we approached the holidays with gratitude instead of consumption?
In today’s episode, I share the key to avoiding overconsumption, a way to think about gift-giving without falling into excess, and tips for practicing gratitude in the moment.

Heather Allison joins me for today’s episode to clear up misconceptions about feminine energy and help you learn how to live your life guided by your soul.
Heather is a Destiny Accelerator for those who feel they are here for a bigger impact, a more beautiful life, and a divine purpose. She was the perfect candidate to have a sudden spiritual awakening at 40, and begin teaching the deep feminine, archetypal, energetic, and consciousness principles. Heather empowers women in her Mystery Schools to help them remember and embody their sacred truths, power, selves, love, and success. Through the teaching and practicing of Sacred Harmonic Energetics, she helps women create exactly what they came here for.
We discuss how ignoring our feminine energy can lead to dysregulation by focusing on the masculine traits of achievement, pushing yourself, and wearing your lack of sleep as a badge of honor. In searching for and listening to the feminine energy we all possess, we can allow it to guide us to more compassionate lives. All our souls came here with a mission, but we forget what that mission is, and we need to do the work to remember it.

For today’s episode, I want to continue the work we started last month in processing our emotions. An essential understanding of this work is the difference between regulating and processing our emotions.
In this episode, I explore what emotional regulation is and why it is necessary, and I share some techniques you can use to regulate your emotions. Once you can move to a more regulated state, you can process your emotions and make sense of them.
These skills are vital in dealing with our world and our lives. Learning about how you can regulate and process your emotions can improve your response to heightened situations. As part of this episode, I walk through a recent example with my daughter, where I wasn’t regulated and I responded in the moment. However, what I did next allowed me to demonstrate that I have the capacity to regulate my emotions and process my response to difficult or frightening situations.
If you want to work through this further and invest in more than just surface-level solutions, I invite you to join me for coaching in 2024. I work with clients who want to dig deeper into their patterns and beliefs, and craft a narrative that propels them into a life that blows their mind. Client spots for 2024 are filling up, so if you're interested, sign up for the interest list now!

Today I am thrilled to introduce my friend and client, Tessa Kahoun and her latest venture, the "Dear Sunny" podcast. This wonderful new series delves into the journey of turning pain into power. I had the privilege of being interviewed for her podcast, and we dove deep into a topic I hold dear: overcoming perfectionism. I am excited to invite you to listen to this episode! Don't miss out on her first episode as well, where Tessa shares her story.
Tessa Kahoun is an entrepreneur at heart, serving as founder, owner, lead planner, and designer of Tie the Knot by Tessa. She is dedicated to crafting unforgettable weddings and turning dreams into reality. Beyond event planning, Tessa's passion lies in empowering women to embrace their own power, whether through motivating her spin class or tackling issues on her podcast, Dear Sunny. Tessa shares her remarkable journey of transformation after breaking a lifetime cycle of abusive relationships, a five-year battle with bulimia, and an addiction to prescription medication. By sharing her story with the world, she hopes to be a beacon of strength and resilience for women.

Today's episode is a little different than normal, but it was important to me to share. I recorded this in response to the attacks on Israel this past weekend. I don't dwell on the facts of the attacks, but discuss how they are impacting me and many other people, and how to take care of yourself and your nervous system when tragedy strikes.
If you feel drawn to donate to Israelis, please do it ONLY to well-known organizations or someone you trust, since Hamas has published fake news and created fake donation funds.
Below are two options that I know to be legitimate ways to help.
2023 Israel Emergency Fund - Jewish Federations of North America
Emergency Israel Fund - Congregation Brothers of Israel
